"Oh, man." Hiccup groans, clutching his stomach. You help him up, and he silently thanks you, earning a smile from you.
You both look back at Astrid to see Toothless has noticed her and starts running towards her with a snarl.
Astrid immediately kicks into gear once she realises what she's looking at and tackles Hiccup to the ground as Toothless closes in.
"Get down! RUN! RUN!" Astrid orders desperately, pushing herself up and getting ready to swing her axe. Despite your ankle, you tackle Astrid and disarm her as Hiccup moves to calm Toothless.
She scurries back while trying to get up, terrified of the sight of the Night Fury yet confused at what's happening.
"NO! No. It's okay! It's okay... she's a friend. It's okay." Hiccup assures the dragon while you feel Mischief land on your shoulders.
"You just scared him." Hiccup then explains to Astrid.
Astrid just looks at him in shock, before her eyes go to you and Mischief, then back to Hiccup and Toothless.
"I scared him?! Who is 'him'?"
"Astrid, Toothless. Toothless, Astrid." Hiccup introduces and Toothless snarls, causing Hiccup to wince while looking at Astrid nervously. Astrid's eyes flit between you all before she shakes her head and starts running towards the village with anger and disgust.
"Da, da-da! We're dead!" Hiccup celebrates sarcastically, causing Toothless to rumble sassily before walking back to his spot.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Where do you think you're going?!" Hiccup questions the retreating dragon as you walk over.
"So... what's the plan here, Hiccup?" You ask a little nervously, you couldn't get the way Astrid looked at you out of your head.
"We're going to convince her, not just me, but both of us." Hiccup explains, grabbing your hand and gently tugging you with him over to Toothless.
Toothless coos at you in greeting as you hold your hand slowly, "Hey, remember me?"
Toothless rubs against your hand while purring, making you smile. You scratch his head and under his chin as Hiccup gets onto the saddle.
You make your way over, take Hiccup's offered hand and get onto the saddle. You grab onto his waist and feel your heart race as Toothless takes to the sky.

As Toothless glides over the forest, you spot the blond hair of Astrid running, stumbling over some plants in a rush to get to the village.
"There!" You point out, and Toothless swoops down and grabs Astrid just as she goes to jump off a log. Her screams ring out across the forest as Toothless takes her to the top of a tree, drops her there, then lands on the trunk, bending it.
"HICCUP, Y/N, GET ME DOWN FROM HERE!" Astrid orders as she hangs.
"You have to give us a chance to explain." You plead only for Astrid to glare at you with betrayal and anger.
"I am not listening to ANYTHING you have to say!" Astrid argues as she readjusts her grip.
"Then I won't speak, just let them show you, Astrid, please?" You beg, you don't want to lose her. Astrid contemplates it before she starts making her way over; she pulls herself up and hits away the hand you offered before pulling herself onto the saddle behind you.
You faintly hear Toothless snarl as she gets on, but it's so quiet you're not entirely sure you did.
"Now get me down." Astrid demands while looking completely out of her element.
