Everyone stood still. This was supposed to be the easy quest especially because it was Alyssa and Reese's first and the Devourers had been defeated. Rollan had a sort of smirk on his face with some hate as if he wanted to fight the swarm of conquerors. Meilin quickly let out Jhi from her passive state. Their bond had gotten stronger through their past journeys, Alyssa found out.

There was a boy that seemed to be the same age as them in front of the crowd of conquers. The realization hit the group with surprise. It was Devin with his black panther. She looked small compared to Uraza considering that it wasn't a great beast.

"We meet again, Conor", he said with a sarcastic voice. Briggan gave an ear splitting growl that even scared Ninani back behind the waterfall. Only Alyssa noticed. "And I see the "Heroes" are here too", he added.

"It wasn't wise for you to come", he answered," remember what happened to you last time?"

Rollan butted in the conversation," yeah, we like kicked your butt and then you went crying home to your rich, little daddy.

Abeke, Alyssa, and Reese started to laugh trying to hold it in. Meilin gave him a high five which was odd because Meilin had never done that before.

"Oh but now I have a little extra boost to turn the tables.", he countered. A conquerer came to his side and handed him a bottle with a thick liquid inside. It looked like poisoned blood and had the most unusual dark color. Abeke recognized it instantly. It was the Bile.

Everyone except Alyssa and Reese gasped. They thought the bile was destroyed, never to be seen again.

"That's right!", he said happily, "you thought it was all gone, but you were wrong. Plus as a bonus, I'm not really the son of that rich man in Eura. Of course he was willing to lie to those people, but even dark, evil secrets must be told. I'm really Devin, the son of the Devourer and I'm here because I'm the new Devourer or I'm the much worse uprising Devourer."

Reese felt so numb. Her cousin she'd known for her whole life was really the descendent of the Devourer. She couldn't imagine how Conor felt.

"I bet a lightbulb just went off in you two's head", gesturing to Reese and Conor. "Now it all makes sense why Dawson helped you during your travel to Rumfuss. Your family was managing fine, but I had to get a way to tempt you to hand over the iron boar. That's why I forced him to write that letter to you." These words struck Conor with revenge and anger.

"Oh and Reese, you were always my least favorite family member", he said using his fingers to quote the word "family".

She wasn't mad at him, for she knew she didn't liked him either. But that wasn't the same for Conor. He raggedly ran towards the child with his axe aiming for his head. Before Conor was even a yard away, Devin quickly poured the whole bottle of the Bile into his animal's mouth.

It wasn't long until the poison set in. The black cat instantly grew to an overly great size. It's teeth grew longer and the claws got sharper. The muscles stuck out in different places. This was no ordinary Bile. And this was now no ordinary panther. The eyes turned blood red and with one touch, Devin sent it charging at Conor with incredible speed.
