CHAPTER 1: Run- In

Chapter 1: Run-In

"Hurry Jovanni! We have to go before mama gets angry!"

I soon started to follow behind my brother Emerald, but I couldn't help but to look back every now and again as we ran. Mama said not to go but we went anyways. We always did, we went almost everyday after lunch. The forest seems harmless during the day and noon, but once sunset hits it gets scary really quick.

Those eyes. I can't get them out of my head. It's like they were looking straight at me. We finally got to the back entrance of the house and guessed who was waiting, mama.

"Didn't i tell you boys not to go to that damned forest?! Now if something would've gotten to ya, i would have to whoop ya ass then take ya to the damned hospital! Don't do that shit again ya hear?"

With our heads down in shame we whispered a quiet 'yes mama'. She let us off with a nod of her head and we raced upstairs.

" Boys' dinner is almost ready. So get washed." We heard mama say as we were running up. When I got in the room I quickly threw off my dirt covered clothes into the hamper and ran into the bathroom. Once I'm in I start the water.

Soon as the water starts to heat up, the bathroom door slams open. And in comes Emerald.

"No! That's not fair. I get in first, I smell worse than you!"

"Too bad I got here first so I got in first." I replied.

"Dude! I have mud in places where mud shouldn't be."

"How about we get in together then. Simple." I said

"No way. Nuh-uh. I don't want you to see me naked."

" I won't. I'll face this way and wash and you face that way. Deal?" I hold out my hand waiting for him to shake.

"Fine."

Emerald begins to take his things off as I step in the shower. I faced away from the water and began to lather up. I can hear him as he steps in. We do what we gotta do and step out to reach for a towel. I still can't get those eyes of my mind. They were scary yet intriguing. I wanted to stay to see who or what they belonged to but i couldn't. I finish drying off. And prepared myself for dinner.

I never saw those eyes again, until....

Srry for it being kinda short. I'll be sure to make them longer as the story goes on. Also im gonna be combining previous chapters together to make them a little bit longer.
