Third Person's POV

Everything was black yet again, no light like usual. Asriel had his eyes closed, his chest rising and falling calmly as if he were in a dream. His body was floating as if he were laying down on and air bed. His eyes twitched underneath his eyelids like he was seeing something that made him scrunch up his face. His movements suddenly became jerky, his entire body shaking uncontrollably. As he slowly floated back to the ground, he jerked awake, holding his hands to his chest. His breathing became raggedy as he inhaled as if it were the last breath he'll take. His eyes were now visibly wide, showing fear and pure terror. A pain engulfed in his chest and head, staying there until it slowly subsided. Looking around, he calmed himself down, breathing slowly and calmly like they'd been before. Summoning all his strength, he stood up, his legs feeling so much like jelly. He wobbled, barely managing to stand up and walk a few feet. Why can't I walk properly, he asked himself, trying his best to balance all his weight on his own two feet. "Hello?" He called out, cupping his hands while walking forward.

But nobody came...

He tried again for another few minutes, each yell turning into echos within seconds. It was clear that he was the only one in this desolate, empty place. Sitting down, he put his face in his hands in defeat, refusing to look around. In his head were the memories he refused to remember: (Y/N) completely dead, falling in his arms; Chara rising up from the dead; the stab to the chest that killed him. Tears dripped down his face, dropping to the ground with a little low pitched sound. Those quiet sobs turned loud as he realized he died, there was no way to get back to the love of his life, to get her life back. Everything he did now was useless to the cause. His determination soon found itself vanishing, turning into hatred and sorrow. I mean, if you were in his situation, there's a chance you would of given up too. Heck, who would still find optimistic things in being killed. The drops of his tears echoed throughout the darkness as he gripped his fur, furious at how stupid he'd been, how arrogant he was...how weak he'd become. He yelled out in frustration, the tears on his face still welling down. "Why does this have to happen to me?!" He screamed out. "Is this just a whole junk of freaking KARMA for my past actions?!"

"No." Some answered from the distance. "This just had to deal with the fate held out before you."

Snapping out of his tantrum immediately, he held his head high, peering into the never-ending darkness. "Hello? Is someone there?"

"No, I'm not a someone." The voice echoed throughout the darkness, sending chills down Asriel's spine. "I'm a something. I've been watching you from the distance since the day you were freed from the underground."

"What do you mean?" Asriel's voice cracked under the thought that this "something" had been stalking him. "Why the heck would you decide to do that?"

"Well, let's just say there's an anomaly in your timeline." They sighed. "You died just a few seconds ago."

"Wait, a few second ago? Are you serious? I've been here for a few weeks!" He yelled out, frustrated that all this time he could of done something at least.

"Time is different here in this game." The voice had replied, echoing yet again, against the darkness. "You ever notice how before you had the powers to respawn, to live yet again after so many deaths in your reincarnated flower form?"

"H-How do you know that?" Asriel stuttered. Something gnawed at his head, a feeling that whoever he was talking to wasn't an actual human or monster. The lack of magic and an actual physical body made him even more scared. "Show y-yourself!"

"Give me one reason why I should." The person sighed back, still echoing yet again. "If it's good, I'll show you who I am."

"Because I deserve to know what the heck you are watching me for. I need to know why all of this is happening." Asriel reasoned, looking out into the darkness and looking for a face. "Please, I just need to know I'm not losing my mind talking to nothing but darkness, heh."
