♡ Part 84: Sasuke's resolve ♡

shikamaru made his way to them and frowned

shikamaru: where did she go?

ino sighed

ino: she left, and i'm going to leave too

she stood to her feet and eyed the raven

ino: if you really did care about her, you wouldn't have hurt her the way you did. 

she rolled her eyes and took her leave

shikamaru: .....

he sat down and gave sasuke his portion of the drink. the nara glanced over to the only girl who sat with them and expected her to leave, but she didn't.

hinata: ino is k-kinda right....

shikamaru sighed

hinata: b-but i know you w-were hurt too because of n-naruto-kun

sasuke's brows twitched

hinata: it's okay to feel hurt, b-but please don't h-hurt sakura-chan along the w-way. 

shikamaru: thanks hinata, at least you understand where he's coming from

hinata smiled

hinata: i don't know where h-he's coming from

sasuke shot his eyes to her along with shikamaru

hinata: sakura-chan t-told me that.

with that, hinata stood up and began to take her leave without sparing the duo another glance

TO SASUKE

shikamaru: that's interesting

the nara took a sip of his amazake

shikamaru: she still talks about you then

sasuke: do you want to know why i broke up with sakura?

shikamaru: you said you didn't have a reason to stay with her

sasuke shook his head

sasuke: but i also said i had a reason to leave her

shikamaru: what was the troublesome reason?

sasuke paused for a moment before he finally expressed his true situation with shikamaru with every single detail that there was to relay. his words were painful to listen to for shikamaru but it was his job as his best friend to listen to sasuke's feelings. 

although, it was painful to say the least to know that these were sasuke's true feelings about the situation

NEXT DAY (January 15th) [6 DAYS UNTIL THE TOURNAMENT]

TO SAKURA

it was finally friday, but also the day where she was supposed to meet cee at the cafe. there was a part of her that didn't want to go, but also a part of her that decided to just see what happens. 

it was still school hours, so she was currently in her anatomy class and was completing her work silently 

tsunade: finish up the work in 5 minutes, and then we'll review the answers together. 

the blonde beauty made her way to sakura with a smile

tsunade: how's everything? 

sakura smiled and set her pencil down

sakura: fine, although things are a little different than from the last time i came to see you

tsunade: what do you mean?
