Gale stared at my lower arm that had turned into a metallic cannon that was glowing light blue from the inside.
"What...are you?" he said slowly as he looked up at me.
"I, um..." I trailed off. I didn't really know what I was. I just didn't think much about it. I thought I was... what did I think I was?
My mother's words came back to me, her dying words. She told me that the Autobots were good and the Decepticons were bad. She told me that Autobots were colorful and that Decepticons were... She never told me what they looked like. But she did tell me they had symbols for both their groups.
Tingles were sent down my lower arm as my arm turned to normal. I flexed my fingers to get feeling back into them.
"You...you monster..." Gale was pushing up against the wall, a fearful expression on his face.
I leaned forward and grabbed his shirt with such force that his whole body shook. "Now look. You don't tell anyone about what just happened, okay?"
Gale quickly nodded, sweat beading his forehead.
"Good." I let go of his shirt. "Do you want to walk around?"
"S-sure. I need to talk about this more to you," he stuttered, and I led the way out from Hall Z.
"Yeah, I know. I was pretty freaked out when I froze Aria and Kimberly. I don't know why they didn't come to school today," I said.
"Yeah, me neither." He scratched his neck.
"Okay, shoot. I don't mind you asking about my abnormalties."
"Well, okay... Can you do anything else? Can I see you shoot something?"
A dark smirk appeared on my face. "You really want to see what else I can do?"
"Okay, but you're going to have to miss your lunch break." I grabbed his hand and made my way down the stairs and out the glass double doors of the entrance. Sunlight greeted us to crystal-blue skies. I led him around the back of the school where no one else could see us.
"Ready?" I asked him.
"I'm ready for anything," Gale challenged.
"You didn't look so ready when you saw my gun for the first time."
"Oh yeah...forget that," he chuckled.
Tingles spread through my lower right arm once again as my hand changed into the light blue glowing cannon. I took a few paces back so that I was facing a couple trashcans. My cannon raised and shot a sky-blue ball of ice, freezing over the cans. "Did you like that?" I turned to look at him as my arm changed to normal.
"Yeah! Show me more," he smiled and clapped his hands together excitedly.
"I only know two more things I can do. I have a different cannon on the same arm, and wings."
"You have wings? That's so cool! Can you take me for a ride?"
"Um..." I scratched my neck. "Sure. I think I can hold you under my arm. Before we fly, though, I want to show you my other cannon."
I raised my right arm once again towards two other trashcans. Just by physically willing my arm to change was all that it needed to shift. It's like telling your brain to move your fingers it's that easy.
The cannon had an orange hue to it this time. Out of the corner of my eye I could just see Gale widen his eyes.
"You like it?" I asked.
