after dinner el and troy talked for so long, they exchanged numbers, and got to know each other.
they were all back in their rooms, el was in her bed, cozy and warm, while mike was in his. thinking about everything.
"mike" she breathed out. "yeah?" he quickly answered back. "how was your day today?" she asked him. she asked him the question she'd always ask her dad whether they were sleeping in the same room together.
it just made it feel like home
he smiled at her question. "it was good.. how was yours?" he asked her. "it was amazing mike. thank you for dinner" her gaze met his, they both smiled at each other once again like they always do
"are you comfortable over there?" he asked. she nodded. "well that's good"
a silence occurred between the both of them for a good 4 minutes until el broke it
"mike have you.. have you ever fell in love?" she asks him so casually, probably because she was tired, and she didn't realize what she was saying right then because he was half asleep and half awake. mike's eyes widened
memories with his ex came back.. with his ex.. aska. he shook his head, and answered it quickly "y—yes of course el.." he replied.
"have you?" he asked her back
el's never fell in actual love before. she's never had a real relationship. she was dumped, and thrown around like a piece of shit. she's never gotten into a real relationship, she was only used for sex, and that was all, almost every guy in hawkins saw in her honestly
sex & money, was all she could receive
she stayed silent for awhile
"okay, i'm going to bed, night mike." she changed the subject, turning over and switched the light off, mike scrunched his nose up
"oh- okay goodnight" he said, turning back to his side. they both thought about what just happened, and within moments they both drifted asleep.

the next morning the two woke up early
el was already out on the balcony looking at the unexplainable beautiful view she adored so much. and mike just stayed on his phone watching netflix
"mike!" she squealed. he shot a gaze at her
"what!!?" he replied back. "come here!!" she demanded. mike got off his bed lazily, coming towards the happy precious smiling girl
"what is it?" he asked her again. "look!" she pointed at a gelato store she spotted not long ago. "can we please go get ice cream there?" she begged, giving him puppy eyes.
it was hard to decline, he just HAD to do what she wanted. "okay, well the others agreed on doing whatever they want for today, so yeah sure" he said
el was so happy at this point. "yay! thanks mikey" she chuckled, pinching his cheek.
"owh- el that hurts" she let go of his cheek.
"sorry mike" she laughed again, walking inside the room again. mike took a deep breath
