Beware that this is my first 'punishment scene' and I didn't really know how to go about it! Be nice...or I'll cut you for hurting my feel goods! :)
I step out the elevator with a small sigh and walk down the hall while sticking my hands in my pockets. Derek follows me closely and I chuckle silently at his eager expression. Opening the door, I step into the room and Silas looks up at me with wide fearful eyes. I smile at him softly and he smiles back shakily as I walk over and kiss Amelia’s cheek and Derek closes the door.
“Hello Amelia, how are you?” I ask and she stands up.
“I'm good sweetie. You’re here at the perfect time. Can you stay here with Silas while I go run to get a snack?” She asks and I nod with a smile.
“Of course, take your time.” I say making her smile before patting my arm and grabbing her purse.
“I’ll be right back sweetie.” She says to Silas and he looks at her blankly before nodding.
“So how are you feeling?” I ask after she leaves and he looks at me with wide eyes as if he's surprised I'm talking to him.
“Um, I'm o-okay I g-guess.” He mumbles while playing with his blanket over his body as I sit on the chair after dragging it towards the bed.
“Don’t lie to me.” I say softly but sternly and tears fill his eyes.
“M-my head h-hurts.” He cries and I look at Derek who looks worried.
“Did you tell your mother your head was hurting?” I ask and he shakes his head while wiping his face quickly.
“No, I didn’t want to bother her.” He says with a trembling lip making him look more like a 3 year old not a 32 year old.
“Silas, you wouldn’t bother her or anyone. If you have a headache or don’t feel good you have to tell someone. That way we can help you and you won’t feel bad anymore. Okay?” I ask seriously while grabbing his hand and he nods slowly.
“Okay.” He says and I smile at him when he squeezes my hand.
“Have you talked to Sullivan?” I ask and he beams.
“Yes I did. I was sleeping when he first called but I called him back and he picked up.” He says happily making me chuckle.
“How did he sound?” I ask curiously making his brows furrow.
“Sullivan sounded worried. He said that things were worst then he first thought but he got everything under control.” He says with a frown making me nod.
“Being a CEO is stressful.” I chuckle and run my hand through my hair.
“What did I do before the accident?” He asks and I lick my lips nervously.
“Um, well you were very artistic. You liked sketching but loved painting. You loved music, playing the piano was your favorite thing to do.” I say casually since Sullivan told me that’s what Silas loved doing when he was younger.
“So I was an artist?” He asks and I clear my throat while thinking for an answer.
“Is everything okay in here?” Amelia asks while stepping back into the room making me sigh.
“Yeah, everything is fine though Silas has a headache. I have to get going though. Don’t worry Silas, Sullivan should be on his way back within the hour. He’ll stop by before going home.” I say as I stand up and he nods with a small smile.
