Chapter 19: Water Spirit

- (Y/N)'s POV -

I'm floating in an endless abyss. I look around and it was too dark to see anything. I notice a bright behind me and I turn around to find nothing. I see it was behind me again and notice every time I turned around it was always behind me. So I touch my back and I notice that the light would get darker every time. So I touched my back and noticed the light disappeared.

???: "You can stop touching your back."

I spin around to see where the voice came from but like I said, too dark to see anything. Or maybe there was nothing...

Me: "Where am I?"

???: "Well I guess I will be straightforward with you. You're dead. The injuries and falling into rushing water killed you. Currently your body is at the bottom of the water underneath rocks."

I remember now. I destroyed the dam and sacrificed myself to kill Dwayne too.

Me: "Is Elsa alright?"

???: "No, she is currently facing Dwayne off in a battle."

Me: "Wait I thought I killed him!?!

???: "You didn't. But, you can try again."

Me: "How?"

???: "The light on your back. The one that Gale gave you, is a portal into your heart."

A portal into my heart? I place my hand on my chest and was honestly very confused and scared for what this meant for me.

Me: "....what?"

???: "Gale knew that Elsa was the fifth spirit. He deemed that it would only be right for her to be with someone who was special just like her. In conclusion, he gave you the opportunity to harness the power of a spirit."

I cross my arms back and forth denying the claim that she is is a spirit. It doesn't make sense... nor does the powers she possess.

Me: "That sounds really cliche and awesome. But what do you mean Elsa is the fifth spirit? She's a human and not some sort of element."

???: "Her mother was able to communicate with the spirits you could say and her father was just a mere human. So Elsa is basically half spirit and half human."

Me: "Nani?! So you're saying..."

???: "Yes. The portal will give you powers depending on what spirit sacrifices themselves to give you it. This was recently discovered by someone you know."

Me: "...Dwayne? Wait who are you?"

???: "You can call me Nokk. A water spirit in the form of a horse that the Fifth Spirit has tamed. But that doesn't matter now, we don't have much time. Will you accept my power? The powers of a water spirit? The powers... to save Elsa?"

Me: "Yes... but before we do that I have one question."

Nokk: "And what would that be?"

Me: "Is this a coincidence that you're saving my life or what?"

Nokk: "This isn't the first time I saved your life (Y/N). This is my third time."

Me: "Wait what?"

Nokk suddenly appears around me, running in circles while getting tinier by the second. Nokk eventually was the size of my palm before going behind me and rushing into my back. I scream in pain. My body was getting colder every second... and sometime through that whole experience, I realized that I was deep under the water.

Later...

Me: "Miss me?"

Elsa: "(Y/N)???"

Me: "Sorry I'm late. But I got something that I would think is pretty fucking awesome."

I release my grip on Elsa and face Dwayne. He looked surprised at first but it turned into a smile. A smile of a killer. I step on front of Elsa, protecting her from our enemy.

Dwayne: "(Y/N)! Welcome back to the living. Where have you been? I was just having fun with your girlfriend over there and you just had to interrupt." He conjures a fireball in each hand. "Now tell me... are you ready to die forreal this time?"

I shake my head no.

Me: "No. But I will be delivering payback."

He chuckles the fire at me and I touch the ground. The water fountain in the middle of the plaza was the closest source of water I could use. I closed my eyes and focused. I had to envision what I want the water to do. I imagine picking up the water and lifting it above my head. I open my eyes and saw that it was also a reality. I smirked. Just before the fire got anywhere near me, I blasted my water right at it. Extinguishing it.

They both look at me in shock. Elsa being the most surprised. Dwayne was more irritated and pissed off that I can easily counter his element.

Dwayne: "Of course. It looks like I am against a water spirit when I am a fire one. But that doesn't mean I am going down without a fight!"

He spins around and a fire tornado slowly builds up to the sky. The bright blue sky turning dark as the clouds surrounding would gather above. He stops spinning and the tornado starts letting loose in Arendelle, lighting everything on fire. He's playing dirty so I guess I would have to too.

I turn around a cup Elsa in my hands and look at her straight in the eyes. She puts her hands on mine and looks at me.

Me: "Elsa, I will need you to try and stop that tornado while I handle him. He plans on taking down Arendelle with him. Can you do that?"

Elsa: "I will try."

Me: "I love you."

I kiss her in front of the public where anyone could see. I'm sure some saw but I don't care. I just want her. Nothing else. The kiss lasted a few seconds and as I let go, I ran at Dwayne with a trail of water behind me.

He fires at me and I kept blocking it easily with the elemental advantage. I notice it getting colder as I continued running and at the corner of my eyes I see Elsa firing her ice at the base to the top of the tornado, encasing it slowly to stop it. I smile and kept pushing Dwayne until we faced each other on the bridge. We look at each other and I smile knowing he fell right into my trap. I just needed to stall so I can prepare it.

Me: "So Dwayne! You really thought you could win against us? Must suck to find out that you're going to lose!"

Dwayne: "I didn't realize that I would be in a situation where I would be at a disadvantage. If you had any other spirit, I would've won much easier. It's only a minor drawback, but I will win."

Me: "And how will you win? Destroying everything while we fight? Cause as you can see, the love of my life is handling that as we speak."

Dwayne: "It doesn't matter how I will win. I never lost, I've conquered every single opponent and you're just another one."

Me: "Well, sorry to say, but I won."

Before he can say anything. There was a large wave that crashed against the bridge that lead into the castle. It swallowed him in. I peak over the bridge to see if he was there.

Me: "Hello?"

I shrug and dived deep into the water. At the bottom I see my plan in full form. The water was sinking him deeper and deeper into the abyss, slowly drowning him. I frown as all I could do was watch him die in a terrible way. He was using his powers as there was steam emitting from him to no avail. 

I swim down and place my hand on his shoulder. Luckily the water was protecting me from majority of the heat but it was still pretty hot. I generate an air bubble around my mouth and spoke my last words to him.

Me: "I'm sorry... but I had to protect Elsa at all costs. If I didn't meet Kristoff all those years ago, I might've ended up like you. Just know that I will carry your strength with me and use it for good."
