I leave the cafeteria heading to my dorm room once I get there I call back to hear Cal asking "hey Auzzy how's the school?" hearing my friends voice gave me some relief from the stress of the massive change "Cal you have no clue how good it is to hear you, this place seems alright met some people that seem pretty chill kinda awkward talking to them since I'm new here and barely know them and have to share a room with another newcomer" I rant to him I could hear him laugh before hey says "Austin bro now remember you love me when I say this, but this could be great for you man back here who did you talk to? Me and Nico that's it man sure you spoke with a few other people at school and you had a big group, but you weren't really friends with them because they were assholes it was mainly me and your brother. This could be a chance for you to branch out man and if shit gets too heavy for you just give me a call, I'm always here for you, ah shit I gotta go man but give me a call whenever I mean it, love you, bro".

"Okay, I'll do my best Cal tell your parents I said hi, love you too bud," I say back to him before I end the call falling onto my bed before I hear someone coughing near the door "that was a sweet moment Auzzy," Emilio says as he stands in the door with a smile, he looks at me waiting for a signal to come into the room I wave him over to come in "so what's up, why'd you come to my room? I'm not trying to be a dick I'm just curious" I say sitting up looking over at him, we walk to the desk and sits against it "came to see how you're doing man look I might be outgoing and devilishly handsome but I was in the same spot as you, when I first got here I didn't talk to anyone for a few weeks except my sisters and then a couple of weeks after that we met Temis and we've been inseparable and around that time Mr. Barnes came to the school and made it more bearable he looks out for everyone it's what got him the guidance councilor job my point is the first month or so can be rough but it doesn't have to be, even if you don't want to hang out a lot the three of us are always chill with you hanging out with us" Lio explains to me.

"Thanks, man hey if you don't mind me asking what landed you here?" I asked him curiously "well me and my sisters got sent here four years ago because our parents were abusive, and we didn't exactly function well in foster homes so here we are," he said nonchalantly looking out the window "sisters? I thought you only had one" I say before he responds "Oh yeah we have a little sister she's two years younger than us her name's Amy the whole thing was hard as hell on her but she's all good now," he says with a small smile.

There was a brief moment of silence in the room before he asked me "what about you how'd you end up here?" I took a brief moment before answering "I stole medicine for my little brother Nico he has a non-cancerous tumor which causes him to have blackouts and he has to get meds for it to help with the tumor and meds for the blackouts but it's expensive as hell and we were at the arcade but were all out of meds and I spent all my money, so I stole them and got caught and sent here" I say to him.

"Want to go to the library?" Emilio asked me while getting up and heading to the door "sure let's go guessing your sister and Temis are there waiting?" I asked him laughing before he responded with "yep cause we have a free period as our maths teacher is sick and my sister is very impatient so let's go so you can see your first day of classes" hopefully cal was right about this place these people seem nice.

Oliver's P.O.V

I've been here for a few days now and it is like hell I've already met the school assholes and to make it all worse I've got to share a room with some random kid how arrives today fantastic as if my mood couldn't get any worse. I look at the clock waiting for the final bell to ring so I can head back to my dorm room to finish a drawing I was working on when I hear the loud ringing as if someone is holding a megaphone next to it. I grab my bag and leave the classroom walking through the halls I wonder why my dad never believes Raph and treats him like how he treats me before I knew it, I was next to the fountain near the dorms and thought to myself 'Christ that was fast'.

I enter my dorm room to see that the other bed has boxes on it I guess the new guy is here, I head to the bathroom to freshen up, but it's locked as I hear a voice say loudly "sorry I'm in the shower I'll be like ten minutes sorry" the voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't place where I had heard it before.

I sat at the desk and took the drawing out of my bag and started working on it again adding more detail to the drawing of the park back home while listening to music unknowingly singing out loud after five or so minutes I finished then went to sit on my bed as the bathroom door opens and my roommate steps out "oh shit I thought you left the room, thank god I had the towel on I'm gonna grab these, the bathroom is free now" he says looking down so I didn't get a look at his face, that was a disastrous first meeting.

I basically sprinted into the bathroom at the speed of Hermes 'well that was something I know I like guys but if I wanted a guy topless in my room it's not going to be my roommate' I thought as I walked to the sink and ran the tap then splashed some water on my face, I waited a few minutes before heading out of the bathroom thankfully he was dressed when I went through he was laying on his bed with earphones in, he spots me waving over to him and takes them out as he sits up "hey sorry about earlier" hey says going bright red he looked exactly like a tomato I saw his face when I remembered where I thought I knew him from "it's fine, wait aren't you the guy that works in missile brew the one who is always talking to the guy who sits in the corner making dumb faces?" I asked I was positive it is him he responded with "yeah that's me, life kinda went in a different direction than making coffee for strangers for basically minimum wage" I couldn't tell if he was trying to have a joke or if he was just plain rude, I assumed the second option and sat at the desk and opened my books for English.

"Okay then I'm going to head to the library I'll see you later and I was having a joke by the way so relax man," the other boy said to me causing me to roll my eyes in annoyance. Great I get the clown who can't even make a decent joke.

Austin's P.O.V

'ah damn it I left my hoodie' I thought to myself I began to walk back to my room and entered "sorry to bother you while you're studying I forgot my hoodie and sorry about earlier if I seemed like an ass, names Austin by the way" I explain to the boy sitting at the desk "yeah yeah just hurry will you, I need to focus" he said to me all moody I responded with "Jesus Christ man I'm trying to apologize and be nice you don't have to be a dick to me for no reason" I grab my hoodie and throw it on and I see the boy turn around in the chair.

"Look I'm sorry I'm stressed out about classes and being new I wasn't exactly expecting my own dad to throw me here," he said with a sigh loud enough to fill the room before turning around. I begin to leave the room as I hear him say "I'm Oliver or Oli either works" I just keep walking and say, "whatever Oliver I couldn't care".

Emilio bumped into me on my way to the library "Austin you okay you look super pissed" he says concerned, "met my roommate he is a complete asshole I make a joke about life landing me here instead of in my old job and he gets all pissy and then I forget my hoodie and I say sorry for bothering him and he goes off on a mad rant at me" I explain getting more pissed and growing so red in the face I almost pass out "maybe after time you two will probably become good friends or at least frenemies, I don't want to come, hang out with you and find either one of you dead haha" he said I've known Emilio for few hours and I'm surprisingly opening up to him about things.

"no promises on the whole dead thing" I joked back, we continued walking till we reached the library and saw Mr. Barnes who in turn came over to speak to us "Hello Austin, hey Lio how are you finding things?" he asked me, placing a book back on the shelf "The school seems pretty good and I've obviously met Emilio had a minor dispute with Oliver though" I explain to him. "Listen don't worry about it, Austin this often happens with newcomers you'll grow to like each other over time trust me. I say just leave it for an hour or two then apologize" he says calmly.

After a bit more talking Mr. Barnes left to go mark some tests it just me and Lio "So are you going to listen to Mr. Barnes?" he asked me, leaning against a bookshelf with a smile I kept looking at the different books before answering "I'll attempt it but if I fail, not my fault. Probably" I say causing Lio to start laughing his ass off with him constantly being shushed "hopefully it works out and my first day of classes isn't y'know terrible," I say walking over to a desk.

Surely things won't be purely hostile between me and Oliver I'll go see how things are soon, give us both time to calm down but for now, it's listening to Lios' prank stories.
