CHAPTER 20

AJ is now sitting happily in my bed. She accepted me and Jagger fully.

She said it wasn't anything to be ashamed of. In fact, she's proud of us. She even joked that she'll get medical check-ups free.

"Tito! A unicorn!" She squealed when she saw a horse with different colors lying on it's skin with a pair of wings attached on it's back. I smiled at her, admiring her cuteness from time to time. I went to her to give her a hug. She accepted it and returned me my hug.

Hindi nagtagal ay nakatulog na rin agad ito. Pinatulog ko muna sila ni Jagger sa Guest Room.

I called my friends via Face Time, si Azalea lang ang sumagot.

"Anong oras na," reklamo niya. Nagising ko pa ata siya. It's already 3 a.m.

"Ang saya ko," I told her. Her face looks so surprised, she arched a brow. "Tanggap ako ni AJ," I continued. I saw her eyes started to water. Any moment she'll cry. Ang OA talaga nito, hindi naman siya yung tinanggap pero sya pa yung naiyak. 

"I'm happy for you!" She said. Her smile was meeting her eyes.

"Eh ikaw kamusta ka naman?" I asked. The last time I had contact with her, she was devastated. I witnessed all of it.

"Eto... Nag-momoveon," she said then smiled bitterly.

"Tama!" I cheered her up! "H'wag mong gayahin si Clara, hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin makalimutan ang gagong 'yon!" I told her. Her eyes widened like an owl.

"Hindi ba siya naka move-on?" She asked, shocked.

"Halata naman! Ayaw niya lang aminin," I told her then rolled my eyes. Which is true, she just seem very strong. Pero kung ioobserve mo sya sa mga tahimik niyang galaw. You would know she's still isn't over. Pero 'di ko sya pinangungunahan, 'yun lang talaga ang napansin ko.

"Sige na, magbubukas pako resto. See you when I see you!" She said sleepily. I waved at her goodbye, she quickly ended the call.

Not to long I felt sleepy na rin. I did my night routine and went to sleep as soon as I finished.

I was woken up by the little giggles of a cute little girl. Her face turned bright when she saw me. Jagger told AJ to get off me because I still had to prepare. We ate our breakfast, AJ and Jagger went home. For me, I went to the hospital.

I saw Clara there, she was sitting in seats near the ER. She looks so weak! Konti na lang at bibigay na to! I ran hurriedly and pat her shoulders. Her sobs are visible in the hospital.

"Hey, why?" I asked her. I became so worried dahil sa iyak niya, this was the first time I saw her like this.

"May.... Nabaril..." She said slowly. "May nabaril... Dahil sa'kin," with that, her cry got more intense. People at the hospital started looking at us. I saw Daphne in her scrubs, running to the operating room. I saw how Clara immediately went to her and knelt down. " Daph... Please, gawin mo lahat..." She asked Daphne. She was still crying hard!

Daphne's face became stoic, but her eyes are otherwise. Her eyes are full of pity, it must have broken her heart seeing Clara cry like this. She just nodded to Clara. 

"Tangina," she said then wiped a tear. "Kasalanan ko 'to lahat... Kung sana hindi ko siya sinama..." She hugged me like there was no tomorrow. "Tangina! Javier, kasalanan ko 'to!" Her fits were now at me, hitting me in the chest. She was seriously breaking down inside the hospital. "Kasalanan ko 'to... Kasalanan ko 'to..." Her voice became smaller and smaller. I saw my secretary at the entrance door. I immediately called her. She ran towards me.

"Hala, Doc!" She said then put her hands on her mouth "Ano po ang nangyari kay Attorney?" She asked habang inaalalayan akong itayo si Clara. We went to the elevator so that Clara can rest in my office.
