The keys jingled in my hands while I looked for the grey key. August sent me a text earlier in the day to meet him in his office. He told me it was urgent.

I entered the office. There were paintings hanging up of the moon and the night sky. It was beautiful and felt like a safe place to relax in.

"You are 15 minutes late, Ella."

"Oh." I looked to my side. August was lying down on his couch with a book in his hand. "Sorry. I just finished class."

"I can see that." He sat up. "Read this book. It'll inform you more about our Moon Goddess."

I sighed sitting beside him. I picked up the book and touched the matte cover. "Why?"

I looked at him, noticing how close we were. His eyes were beautiful. There were a mixture of sunset colours. His eyes flickered to my lips briefly. I caught myself bitting my lower lip. My hand immediately went to the cup on the table and I gulped down all the contents. I needed to distract myself from the embarrassment.

"That was my drink." He grumbled.

"What was it?" I asked. It tasted weirdly good, but it had an awful after taste.

"Wolfsbane. It's an alcoholic drink that keeps us calm."

"Keeps you calm?" I laughed. He leaned back into the couch, relaxing his head.

"Yes, this season keeps most of us awake." He closed his eyes.

"But why would you be kept awake? Is this a wolf thing? Creature of the night?"

"Fuck! Are you really that-?" He leaned closer with his hands starting to gesture something, but he stopped himself.

"Gheez... okay. It wasn't that serious."

"I'm sorry. This is mating season and the unmated ones." He gestured to himself. "Have insane needs... daily. We-."

"Is this where I think it's going?" I grabbed his hands to stop him from gesturing anything more. It was weird how warm his hands were compared to mine.

He gave me a "duh" look. He moved his hands away from mine and got up from the couch.

"What does the drink do to humans?" I asked him.

"I don't know? Nothing?" He sat on his chair in front of the desk stacked with equipment.

My mind was slightly hazy, but he looked insanely attractive to me. My eyes wandered all over his body, at least from what I could see from where I was sitting. I put the rest of it to my imagination.

I didn't know what came over me, but I stood up and made my way to him. While I made my way to him he lifted a small knife.

"This knife reminds me of-." He looks up and stops talking immediately.

I pushed his chair slightly and sat on his lap. I grabbed the knife from him and threw it on the table. My hands quickly went to his collar. He grabbed my hands gently, stopping them.

"What are you doing?" His voice grumbled. His eyes changed to hues of red.

"Nothing obviously." I wrapped my right arm around his neck and leaned into his neck. He tensed up, but he didn't do anything to stop me. I kissed his neck. Leaving a few pecks, I tried giving him a hickey, however I wasn't familiar on how to do it. I must've hurt him instead. He winced in pain.

"I-I. You need to stop, I can't control myself." August tried moving me away.

"I don't want too." I grinned like a fool. My thumb gently touched his lower lip. My eyes were set on it. I leaned forward, but August stopped me.

"You need to stop before I show you exactly what I'm made of." His eyes changing from a red hue to an orange one. Maybe it was indication he was getting mad.

However, that didn't faze me. I pressed my body against his and lifted his head to look directly into my eyes. His eyes continued to flicker to my lips. His hands slide to my butt.

I leaned to his lips and kissed his bottom lip. My hands went through his soft hair, detangling it from knots.

"August? I just downloaded that app you told me to and I just raised my first little chicken." Henry came into the room excited. He lifted his phone showing his game. His smile dropped.

August moved, but I didn't budge. I frowned looking at Henry.

"Get out." I squinted my eyes at him in anger.

Henry slowly back out of the room and closed the door behind him.

I looked back at August to continue my kissing session, but the orange hues returned to his eyes.

I pouted unsure of why he was mad. "What?"

"You need to leave."

"No." I answered. "I won't."

August lifted me up and set me on his desk roughly. He pushed all the equipment from the table and threw it on the floor. He adjusted his collar, ripping it right off.

"I guess I'll fucking show you what I've got." He leaned into the desk and grabbed my hair enough to not hurt me. He brought my face to his as he kissed me roughly. He didn't give me anytime to kiss him back which pissed me off.

His hands made its way up my dress lifting it in the process.

"Please do." I grinned looking at him.

He paused looking at me. His eyes went back to the cup on the table that I had drank earlier.

"Fuck." He shook his head. "Fuck. This isn't you, Ella. Leave!"

He yelled. I was slightly frightened from his new attitude. He was more than angry with me.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. I got off his table and walked to his door. My legs were unstable and wobbly. He picked up the phone on his desk and watched me walk out the door.

I was so upset and disappointed. I wanted him badly. When I arrived home with the help of Henry, I couldn't stop thinking about August. I couldn't help the dirty thoughts. I just wanted him. I even tried calling him a few times, but there was no response. At some point in the night I fell asleep.
