Chapter Twenty-Three

I groaned as I woke up to Zoey licking my face. "Zoey." I grumbled pushing her gently away from me. I wasn't in the mood to be awake, I slept horribly the night before. My mind kept going over my conversation with Chandler over and over again. The more I thought about everything the more I wasn't sure how to even feel about it. I was upset, but honestly more hurt then anything.

I flopped on my back as Zoey crawled on my chest, licking my face again. "I'm up, I'm up." I sighed as I sat up, moving her to my lap. I grabbed my phone off my nightstand checking the time, to my surprise it was 10am. No wonder Zoey was licking my face, I had majorly slept in. I bet her little bladder was about to pop.

I quickly slid out of bed, pulling a hoody over my PJs and opened the door following a very excited fast Zoey to the door. I took her on a quick walk outside before going back to my room flopping on the bed. As soon as I hit the bed my phone dinged with a text.

Chan: Morning Beautiful. I have to film for a last to leave video today. Can we talk tomorrow?

I bit my lip as I read it. It seems he's trying, or that's the feeling I was getting.

Hayden: That's fine. Good luck, maybe you'll finally win one :P

I smiled to myself as I slid out of bed, making my way to into my bathroom, quickly getting ready for the day. Since I was working a twelve-hour shift tonight, I was just hanging out at home so I would be able to stay awake all night there wasn't much I needed to do. One thing I did need to do is eat.

I made my way out of my bedroom to the kitchen, rolling my eyes as I saw Hunter kiss the wicked witch Kylie as she left. "I don't know why you're back with her." I said as the door closed.

Hunter frowned as he walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter. "I wouldn't expect you to." He said simply.

I rolled my eyes as I closed to fridge with a carton of eggs in my hand. "She's cheated on you. Twice."

"She's changed." He said stated. "For real this time."

I snorted and shook my head as I got to work making myself of scrambled eggs. "What did she say or do to make you believe her this time?" I asked not looking back at him, not wanting to show him how disappointed in him I actually am.

"She didn't have to." He said behind me. "Her actions show me she has. I don't expect you to believe me after everything that's happened." He added I heard him moving behind me. "I've got to get to the warehouse to help film today. Don't wait up, it could last a long time." He said as he left the kitchen.

"Don't worry, I have my first twelve-hour shift at the hospital tonight." I called out with a sigh.

I don't know what's gotten into him lately. Hunter and I used to be very close, but since Kylie messed things up the second time he's been off. Well, I guess that explains what... or should I say who's gotten to him. I hated it. I wanted my twin back, but all I could let him do was figure things out on his own. Kylie is a snake, worse then he even thinks, not that he would believe me if I told him. No, its something he has to learn for himself.
