"ARE YOU OKAY?" the black-haired boy asked, a hint of worry visible on his face.

"Ayami?" he called her out. It wasn't her name.

"I've been looking everywhere for you," he added, then looked behind, "The class is waiting for you. You worried us."

"I found her!" he raised his voice, gathering the attention of the crowd. Y/N guessed it was the "class" he was referring to.

"Who are you?" Y/N asked, squinting her eyes. The sun was shining too bright, completely different from the dark skies just a few moments ago.

"Huh? I'm, I'm Akaashi." It was a strange question but he answered anyway.

"Akashi?"

"Akaashi Keiji."

"What a pretty name," she mumbled.

"So I died?" she sighed. Thankfully, it was too soft for him to hear.

Y/N blankly stares at her surroundings. A beach is definitely not where she expected the afterlife to be take place.

"Ami-chan? You found her, Akaashi-san?" The two heard another voice and they were fast approaching.

"Oh, yes, I don't know what happened but she seems okay," Akaashi answered.

"Is this heaven? And he's the first one I see?"

"Sensei's waiting. The bus is here," another girl appeared.

Pausing her gloomy train of thoughts,  Y/N looked at the three. She noticed their strange "casual" clothing but now that she thought about it, she was no different.

"Oh. Right. The blood too," she quickly remembered. She placed her hand on her abdomen, searching for a deep cut or some unusual texture.

But there was none. And supposedly, that's a good thing.

"This is heaven, probably," she thought while the three conversed, "But I wanted to say good bye to my family."

"And Akaashi Keiji's an angel. Or something," Y/N concluded to herself, "So this is what angels look like."

"Let's go, Ayami. Everyone's waiting for you," Akaashi instructed her as he stood up. He extended his hand to her, offering help for her to get up.

"Everyone? Who? My dead family or something?" Y/N guessed in her mind.

She took his hand and slowly got up, still bewildered with everything going on. It was strange gaining control over her body, which could not move in the coldness just a few minutes ago.

"By the way, Ayami-chan, were you just napping?" he asked before heading to the bus with the Y/N and the two girls.

"Yeah, yer always asleep, Ami-chan. We might've gone back to the hotel without ya," the one with longer hair added. Her accent was strong, Y/N guessed she was from Kansai.

"Good thing Akaashi-san remembered," the other one said.

"Ayami?" Akaashi called out.

"Oh, right, I'm apparently Ayami now for some reason?" she thought.

"Why do you call me Ayami?" Y/N bluntly asked.

"Did ya hit yer head, Ami?" the girl laughed.

"Do you prefer Yudai?" Akaashi asked.

"Oh, no, no," Y/N answered.

"Hurry up, we need to leave!" an older woman yelled from afar. She was standing near a bus and her arms were crossed, hinting her impatience.

"I'm sorry, sensei. Ayami's already here at least," Akaashi said, lowering his head.

"Just get inside, we're going to be late for dinner," the older sighed.

They entered the bus, Akaashi letting the girls get inside first. The bus was crowded with strangers, none of which seemed the bit familiar. And what was even strange was their clothing, and whatever rectangular object they all held.

The fashion was weird.

The rectangular box was weird.

Was heaven supposed to be this weird?

"Ayami, you sit next to me, remember?" Akaashi reminded, seeing the girl go past their vacant seat.

"Oh," she mumbled and turned around to sit down. Akaashi followed, sitting down next to her.

"Where are we, by the way?" she asked, looking at the glass window.

"What?" Akaashi asked. She was behaving strange and being the observant person he is, he immediately suspected something wrong.

"Where are we?" she repeated, pointing at the window. But after seeing his blank reaction, she pulled away her point finger.

"Chiba."

"Oh. Chiba, like Japan," she muttered.

"Are you okay, Ayami?" he worried.

"Japan is heaven?!" The thought made her gasp.

Shortly after, the bus began moving, entering the wide roads. Y/N's mind was going haywire from trying to make everything make sense but the more she saw from the bus window, the less it made any sense at all.

"What's wrong?" Akaashi asked, tapping her wrist to get her attention.

"Akaashi-san, we, we're in Chiba, right?" she confirmed.

"Yes. We're heading back to our hotel. In Chiba," he answered.

"We're near the hotel. Prepare your belongings. We'll have dinner by 6:30PM and tomorrow, July 10, we'll go to the museum," the teacher announced.

"July 10," Y/N said.

"Ah. July 10," it echoed in her mind.

"Yes, Ayami-chan, July 10. Don't oversleep again, alright?" the teacher scolded, causing a few chuckles and giggles.

"I, I won't," Y/N answered. She felt complied need to reply.

"You overslept earlier, Ayami," Akaashi said, letting out an almost unnoticable airy chuckle.

"I'm sorry?" she had to guess a reply, but it sounded more like a question.

"By the way, have you decided on the joining the volleyball club?"

"What?"

"You're full of questions today, Ayami-chan. I meant the volleyball club," he answered.

"I don't do sports though," she mumbled.

"But you can still be a manager, Ayami-chan."

"Oh, manager."

"Yes. They'd like to have you as our manager. Shirofuku-san recommended you already," he answered.

"And, of course, I'd be glad to have you as our manager as well," he added with a subtle smile.

"So I'm the manager of a volleyball club too. So this is not heaven," she concluded in her head.

"I'll be waiting for your answer, Ayami-chan. I hope you think about it," he said.

"But this guy, he's definitely an angel," Y/N believed, she was so sure of it.
