It was the day before the last day at Hogwarts. Draco didn't say much o you after the situation that went on between you two. It was kind of driving you insane. You would glance at him in hopes of catching him staring at you. When you were with Harry and Draco was around, you would steer your attention to Draco to see if his attention was set on you.
But it was as if Draco never even knew you.
And as much as it was killing you it was killing Draco. He too would sneak glances at you but eveytime he did, you didn't pay attention. He was glad that he didn't seriously injure you the day he pushed you. He didn't know what he'd do with himself. He knew that he would hate himself forever.
Sadly, he had to try to forget about you. Whatever he felt for you, he had to stop. Lucius was not very fond of you either.
Draco knew that his father wouldn't approve. And he had to honor his father's wishes on what type of girl he wants Draco to have.
Draco was packing his stuff, his mind set on finally getting home. You were already all packed up.
You were meeting Harry in the courtyard. The note he sent with Hedwig said that he needed to discuss something with you.
The sun was setting when you stepped into the courtyard. Harry was sitting down on one of the stone benches.
When he seen you approaching, he sat straighter, scoot over, and patted the seat next to him.
You sat down and looked at him. "Hey Harry."
"Hello, (y/n)." He gave a small smile.
"You said you needed to talk to me?"
Harry sighed. "Yes, yes I do. Uhm..well to start off, I forgot to mention to you that Sirius Black never meant to kill me. He's good. He's innocent. And he is my godfather."
You smiled. "That's great Harry. Now you have someone who can properly take care of you. Better than those muggle relatives you have."
Harry chuckled. "Yeah, it's like the circus with them. Sirius is the only real family I have. He's the one that got me the Firebolt."
"Bloody hell! That's so cool!"
"Yeah..it is. But this isn't all I wanted to speak to you about, love." Harry said, his smile long gone.
"What's wrong?" You asked.
Harry sighed. "I think it's best if we just remain friends.."
"Let's be honest (y/n). We had our fun in the beginning of our relationship but I feel as if you are drifting away from me. I've seen the way you look at Malfoy. You love him."
You tried to say something but you couldn't. You just kept stuttering.
"It's alright, (y/n). Just..if the time ever comes that you are going to be with him, I want you to stop and think if it's wise to love him. I certainly think it isn't." Harry said.
"Why?" you asked.
"Because he has hurt you countless times. I don't want him to seriously damage you. I still consider you as my friend. And friends look out for each other. Just consider that, please."
You looked at the ground for a second, then looked back at Harry and nodded.
Harry gave you a small smile and hugged you and you hugged him back.
The last day at Hogwarts seemed to fly by so quickly. You said goodbye to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Ron and Hermione were sad to hear that you and Harry broke up.
The news traveled fast with the Slytherins. Some of them made fun of you, but you didn't care. When Draco heard what happened, he wanted to slam Harry's face on a table repeatedly because now that you were single it was going to be extra hard to stay away from you.
'Damnit Potter!' he would say.
As you boarded your part of the train, you passed by Draco who had Pansy clinging to his arm.
Draco was very well aware that you were there and he needed to distract himself.
So he kissed Pansy.
Oh he wanted to throw up, but it worked. You looked away quick and headed over to sit with Amy.
"Oh Draco! I knew you loved me! I knew it!" Pansy exclaimed. She hugged him tight.
How did he not think things through!?
"You are mine mine mine mine mine!" She said while squeezing him.
Then an idea clicked. Maybe if you thought he was taken, you'd stay out of his sights and he'd forget about you.
It could work..
You sighed and Amy looked you over. "Sad over the breakup?"
You nodded. "I mean, we're still friends but it's going to take a while to get over what me and Harry went through."
Amy nodded then she covered her face with her hands.
"What's wrong?" You asked.
"I don't know how to tell you this."
"Tell me what?"
Amy uncovered her face and sighed. "This was my last year at Hogwarts.."
You sat up straighter and had a shocked expression. "What!? What do you mean?!"
"I mean, I'm not going to be attending Hogwarts anymore. I'm moving to Beauxbatons. My parents think I'll be better off there, and I got accepted. I don' want to let my parents down.."
You nodded. "I'm going to miss you..."
Amy reached over and hugged you. "I'm going to miss you too. I promise I'll write to you whenever I can. I'll send you gifts for your birthday and Christmas and candy for Halloween."
You laughed softly. "Likewise, Amy."
Amy pulled back and handed you something.
You looked down at your hands and seen a locket. When you opened it, you teared up.
On the left was a picture of you and Amy smiling and hugging, staring right at you.
And on the right was Daniel, flashing his brilliant smile at you.
"It's beautiful." You said.
"That way, we'll always be with you."
You put the locket on and hugged Amy tightly.
"And I'll always be with you."
