Even after all that crap Braiden put her through today Stacia is still going to have him over. Honestly, can't she see how much of a jerk the guy is? He is an insufferable, chauvinistic wannabe who cheats on his girlfriends. Why on earth is she still with that poofter.
I scuffed my feet along the ground and balled up my fists as I walked home after the gala rehearsal. I really wished that that dropkick lived around here so I could knock some sense into him. How could he not see how lucky he was? He is with Anastacia Viktoria Zhar, prettiest, smartest (well, most of the time) girl at St. Marks. She is talented, outgoing and has a bubbly personality. And he wants to go sleeping with other girls.
What really get me though, is how she can't see what's going on, the fucking dickhead get away with it. If I told her she wouldn't she wouldn't believe me but if I don't do anything she is going to eventually find out and get hurt. So in my mum's words, 'dilemma, dilemma, dilemma.' My mother is nuts. I sigh.
I round the corner of Stacia's street, I have to go through her street to get to my house, and I see her older brother kicking a footie with one of his mates. I keep walking, hoping he won't notice me. Adrian is cool and all but I really wasn't in the mood for dealing with his sarcastic and snarky word play.
"Yo, Robbie!" Adrian called out. I sighed internally and plastered a fake smile on my face.
"Hey Adrian, wassup?"
"Just chillin' with me mate Scotty here, wanna play?" Adrian invited, although he winked suggestively at the end, giving his words and alternate meaning.
"Nah, man, I gotta get home. Mum'll flip if I'm not there soon," I said casually, rolling my eyes.
"C'mon. Just a few throws," Adrian said persuasively.
I caved, "Alright, just a few."
I threw the footie with Adrian and Scotty for about half an hour. I was just about to leave when I saw Stacia and Emilia walk out. Stacia threw me a dirty look but Emilia smiled flirtatiously.
"Hey Robbie. You're looking good," Emilia crooned.
"Uh, hey, um, thanks. Adrian I better go," I said quickly.
Adrian laughed, he knew about the whole Emilia-stalking thing. "No probs, dude. Cya."
"Yea. Cya." I waved at him and Scotty and started walking up the street. Just as I rounded the corner I saw Stacia and Emilia whispering and giggling. That got me thinking Stacia wouldn't listen to me if I told her Braiden was a cheater, but she would listen to Emilia. The only problem was, Emilia wouldn't listen either. I would have to show her and let her find out for herself and then she would tell Stacia.
But how could I get this to work? I think I just gave myself homework...shit.
Monday morning was when I had my epiphany. I had finally worked out how to prove to Stacia that Braiden was a slimy jerk. But...it would mean using Emilia. I didn't like that but I don't know how else I could do it. I also don't know if I would be any better that Braiden if I did it.
All day I deliberated the pros and cons about the situation, in the end I worked out a possible solution so that neither one of the girls would get hurt, as long as everything went to plan.
That afternoon after school I was standing at the gate chatting with Alicia and Stacia. Stacia had decided to 'forgive' me and I had decided to let it slide. Emilia was walking towards us with a smile on her face.
"Hey Em!" I shout, taking a few steps in her direction.
"Hey Robbie," Emilia said smiling coyly.
"Can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked.
"Sure," I didn't miss the excited look that passed between her and Alicia, and the suspicious one Stacia gave me.
We walked so that we were out of earshot of the others. I took a deep breath and turned towards her. Now that I really look at her, Emilia is kind of cute. Mousey brown hair with caramel highlights, caring brown eyes and a light dusting of freckles.
"So, I was uh, wondering if you would like to got to the movies Friday night?" I said quickly, kind of nervously too.
"Yeah, that sounds great," a huge smile has spread across Emilia's face.
"Awesome, so I'll pick you up about 7.30-ish?"
"Ok, see you tomorrow," Emilia said brightly and she leaned up and kissed my cheek. I was a bit surprised but I smiled down at her.
"See you then," I murmur and head to the bus area and she walked over to wear Stacia and Alicia are standing, staring open-mouthed.
I walked up to the front door of and rang the doorbell. A man in his mid-late thirties answered the door with a stern expression on his face.
"Uh, hello Mr. Meyer," I said sticking out my hand. Emilia's dad shook it and glanced me up and down, I suddenly feel self-conscious.
Sorry its so short but I kind of want to leave a cliffy and I will probably need a lot of room for their date and the aftermath. Please leave me some feedback.
