"I'm sorry what? I think I heard you wrong. Say sike right now." I responded. Her shoulders slumped as she sat down on my hospital bed.

"You didn't hear me wrong. I don't like him. He's not good for you. You've been heartbroken ever since that day and you weren't even dating. What's going to happen when you do break up? I don't want him to hurt you Annabeth."

"You haven't talked to him in months. You just started talking to him today, correct?" I nodded. "Exactly. You just started talking again and you're dating. It won't work Annabeth. It's too soon and too fast." She explained.

I understood what she was saying. But then again so many people have walked in and out of my life. If Percy leaves me, of course I would be sad, but it would be expected.

"If he leaves I'll be sad Helen. But that's a part of life. It's happened to me more than enough times. I'm used to heartbreak. You and my father reminded me every single day for years straight after I came back home, that I wasn't enough and wasn't cared for. But I still stayed. I can endure some more heartbreak if I have to Helen. It might be fast, but we have loved each other for so long. We've waited long enough." I said, my voice steady but angry.

"Annabeth I'm serious. I do not approve and I don't think I ever will." She said more intensely. I knew what she wanted. She wanted me to break up with him to spare the heartbreak. But I didn't care. It's my life not hers. I sighed then looked her straight in the eyes.

"Too bad." I responded calmly, "YOU CAN COME IN NOW" I yelled to the door. Helen sighed and went back to her chair. Percy walked in first. He looked nervous, but he looked me in the eyes and a big grin appeared on his face. Seeing his happiness made my anger fade away. I grinned and he practically flew to my side.

"Hey Seaweed Brain" I said with an easy smile. He gave me a small gentle kiss as Matthew and Bobby walked in.

"EWWW!!!" Bobby yelled. "COOTIES!" Matthew screeched. They both covered their eyes and ran to the corner of the room. I laughed and Percy stared at me with the most adorable look.

"Whatcha looking at Percy?" I asked, slightly amused.

"You of course" He responded with a smile. I grinned widely and nudged him softly with my good elbow. We both sat there just staring at each other with stupid smiles on our faces. His raven black hair was messy, as if he had just come back from the beach, his sea green eyes were sparkling and he had a lopsided smile on, that I had grown to love. He was wearing a hoodie and sweats, but I thought he had never looked more handsome. I sighed happily and my father cleared his throat.

"Annabeth I've been thinking and I think it would be a good idea for you to switch schools. Percy's mother, Sally, is switching Percy to Ogygia High School. We want to switch you there too." My father explained. I didn't really mind switching schools as long as I was with Percy. Then I remembered something.

"Ogygia High? That's the same school Thalia's brother, Jason, goes to. He could show us around" I said. Percy looked as if someone slapped him.

"Thalia has a brother?!" He asked, very shocked. I chuckled and explained everything about her and her brother. He nodded when I finished.

"They sound so different." He responded. "I know right"

"That girl, Rachel was it? She's still waiting outside. I think she wants to talk with you and Percy alone." My father said. I nodded and asked them to bring her inside.

Rachel entered and everyone left except for Percy.

"A lot of people died, you guys. There is one body missing. Micheal Yew is missing. His body hasn't been found. But the only shooter is dead. It makes no sense and everyone is worried…" Rachel explained sadly. I had a vague memory of Micheal. He was on the basketball team because he had a good aim.

"But anyways, I SHIP" She said a bit too loudly. Percy chuckled and held my hand tightly. He explained what had happened with Luke and how we got together. I just agreed and put my head on his shoulder.

I should've felt happy but I didn't. Helen was right. What if me and Percy are rushing everything? It made sense and I hated it. Helen was correct. I just had to push that thought aside. I had Percy and it was going to stay that way.
