"You look very pretty Zoe," the blonde little boy chuckled, tugging a strand of my hair behind my ear. His blue eyes twinkled in the sunlight, and his laugh warmed my heart. "You can have this if you want," he handed me a small rock in the shape of a heart.
"It's beautiful," I took the heart-shaped rock from his hands, examining it up close, "Aren't you going to put it in your treasure box?"
His eyebrows furrowed together, like they always did when he was nervous, "You don't want it?"
"No ofcourse I do! I just thought you'd like to put it in your box, it looks very precious," I looked at the piece of rock again, tracing the slight cracks with my index finger.
"Well, you're precious too, and precious girls should have precious things, right?" He giggled.
Grinning from ear to ear, I planted a kiss on his cheek and put the rock in my pocket, "I'll take care of it then."
The feeling of daggers being stabbed into the back of my head woke me up. I gasped for air, drenched in sweat, the whole world spinning around me. I couldn't see anything again, but it took a longer time for my sight to go back to normal this time. Despite the fact that it wasn't the first that I've had these dreams - or flashbacks - this one felt the realest of them all.
I felt a warm breath on my neck, so I turned to face him.
'Hey there', he smiled, his eyes still closed.
His voice was so deep, my heart fluttered everytime he spoke.
'Hey,' I whispered back, ' I should probably get up and get ready'.
'Where are you going?' He said as he buried his face in my neck.
'There's this project I have to do with one of my classmates, Cameron. We are going to meet up at the beach'.
'And is this Cameron guy into the project or into you?' He smirked.
I laughed and gave him a sweet kiss, 'I Love you'.
'And I love you,' he gave me one more kiss as I pulled away and went to take a shower.
She got out, beautiful as always, and I pressed my lips onto hers.
'You look beautiful'.
'Thanks, I try,' she said as I could feel her cheeks turning red.
'I should really get going, you can stay for as long as you want, mom should be home by 3."
I don't reply and just press my lips onto hers again.
'Hey Zoe,' The black-haired boy said, diverting my attention from the sound of the waves.
'So, want to go for a swim?' he asked.
'I thought we were going to finish our project,' I hesitated.
'Don't be a party pooper, the project can wait,' he took of his white t-shirt, showing off his abs. To be honest with you, it was very hard preventing myself from drooling all over him, but the thought of Niall stopped me right away.
I took a deep breath and went into the water.
As my head made its way out, I could see him staring at my black bikini.
'What?' I giggled.
'You look beautiful," he smirked.
'Thank you, I guess," my smile faded and I told him he should jump in.
I felt an arm wrapped around my waist as I turn to see him closer to me. Our faces were just a couple of centimeters apart. I should stop this nbefore it's too late. Before I realized his intent, Cameron caught me by the arms. His kiss was so sudden and fierce that for a second I thought my front teeth would be knocked down my throat. Then he was gone. I stared after him, incredulous, then pushed the incident to the back of my mind.
On my way home, I checked my phone and there was a message from Niall.
=Hey Zoe, are you okay?
=Yeah, I'm fine.
A few minutes later I received another message.
=Well, why don't you come over, The boys are here, you can watch us practise.
I couldn't do it, if I saw him, I'd drown in a pond of my own tears.
=Can't, feeling quite sick.
=Get well soon babe <3
=Don't worry about me. I'll be just fine. :)
But I was a cheater, I wouldn't be fine.
