Bad Days

Falling
Tripping
Missing
Slipping
Running 'cause you're late
Seems like you can't catch a break
In pain
Yelling
Rummaging
No telling
Mad, you don't know why
But you think you're gonna cry
Tumbling
Forever
It feels like
The worst day ever

But you know what?
There'll be another bad day
And you'll say
The exact same thing
It feels like nothing could
Be worse
But think about this
Today
Somebody died
Today
Kids are working in sweat shops
Holding onto their last ounces of hope
Today
Someone was left
At the Altar
Today
There are people with loved ones
Who went MIA
And I know
At the moment
It's hard to see past
The embarrassment
And the pain
But just remember
That tomorrow
Is a new chance
At a new day
So don't chain yourself down
To what seems like
The worst day ever
Because it's just a bad day
And tomorrow
You can fix it
Tomorrow
The kids can't all leave the sweatshops
Tomorrow
People can't un-die
Tomorrow
Someone can't have a new wedding
And not get stood up
Tomorrow
All the missing soldiers
Can't no longer be MIA
So remember
Your story is just a bad day
Not a tragedy
Just a bad day
You can wake up tomorrow
And try again
Because we all have bad days
It's what we choose to do with them
That makes us who we are
