What felt like hours had passed by and he heard not a single word from Toshi about the mystery male. He paced around his room, slowly at first, but gradually picking up the pace as more time passed. What was taking so long?

He huffed lightly, glancing to his bedroom door. He could go down and check on them? After all, what if that mystery male killed him? Or injured him? But what if the process was really just taking that long? It wasn't like it was any normal fish he sent to his friend.

Running a hand through his hair, he decided it would be best to go check on the two, just to be safe. He exited  his room, and made his way to Toshi's quarters. When he arrived at the door, he leaned in close to it. He couldn't make out any of the words being said, but he could recognize his friend's voice at least.

He knocked on the door, fixing his complexion before it was even opened. When it was, he offered his friend a smile as soon as he saw him.

"Everything alright Enji?" Toshi asked, raising a slight brow as he oddly held the door close, blocking Enji's view of the inside.

"Yes, everything is fine, I was just...checking in on our latest catch? Is he giving you any trouble or...?" His words came out pathetic, but there wasn't much to hide his concern any better than that. He tried to get a glance into the room, but there wasn't any opportunity to.

"He's doing completely fine, although it was awfully rude to even keep him on board, and even mentioning to sell him." Toshi didn't look all too happy with his friend's actions, although he figured Enji would do something similar along the lines eventually.

Enji rubbed the back of his neck as he frowned, "I've never seen anything like him before, why wouldn't I keep him for a bit? It's not like I was actually going to sell him anyway..."

Toshi couldn't help but roll his eyes, turning to walk back into the room, "You're going to apologize."

In the room, what used to be a tank of multiple different kinds of fish, now held the mystery man himself inside. The other fish were no where to be seen. "What happened..?" Enji had started before Toshi had cut him off. "I gave them to him."

"You gave them to him? I thought they were important to you?"

"He's more important." Toshi had said simply, walking over to his bed and sitting down. He looked over to Enji with an expecting look. "Go apologize."

Enji looked to the mystery man, who refused to even look at him. He did feel guilty, but it all seemed pointless. He didn't even know if he could speak and understand him. Still, Enji would have to anyway, or else Toshi wouldn't speak with him until he did.

He sighed and walked over to the tank, crouching a little bit so he could be on level with the other male. "I am very sorry about talking about selling you. I really didn't mean it. We weren't even going to keep you for long. I recognize you from somewhere, so I wasn't going to do anything to hurt you. My name is Enji, I'm the captain of this ship. If you understand me, what is your name?"

Without even looking at him, the other male spoke softly, "Keigo." It surprised Enji that he did know how to speak, and it was evident on his face.

His voice...was really nice. He liked how it sounded. He liked the name as well. He liked everything about it.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Keigo. Again, I am very sorry for what I've done." Enji said lightly, bowing his head slightly towards him.

There was a moment of silence before he could hear the water moving. Then, there was a light kiss to his head. Enji's head snapped up, his face flushed as he started to stutter a bit.

"It's a sign of forgiveness and thanks among my people." Keigo muttered under his breath, leaning on the side of the tank and looking towards Enji.

Enji couldn't help but feel embarrassed by his reaction, standing up and clearing his throat. "If there is anything that you need just tell either me or Toshinori, okay? We'll do our best to get it for you."

Keigo nodded his head before he let out a light hum. "Enji?  What did you use to do for fun when you were little?"

Giving him a confused look, Enji then gave a glance back towards Toshi. "I, uh, used to play in the water all the time, I lived close enough to go there everyday."

"A small little beach, right?" Keigo then asked, closing his eyes as he leaned his head against his arms. "You and Toshinori went there one day, together. You got caught in the seaweed, almost drowned too."

'H-How do you know that?" Enji asked, his brows furrowing  as he looked down at Keigo.

"How else? I was there. You really don't remember me? I know I made it clear to Toshinori as best as I could that I didn't want to be known, but I thought you would remember eventually." Keigo frowned, shifting his body again in the tank to be more comfortable.

"So...it wasn't a dream? It really was you who saved me?"

"Mhmm~"

Enji looked back to Toshi, as a way to confirm everything that was said. When Toshi nodded his head, Enji felt ashamed that he treated his savior the way he did.

"Toshinori kept coming back to visit me afterwards, and he taught me how to speak. We've been friends since." Keigo smiled, opening his eyes again to look at Toshi, who smiled back.

"I had to keep my promise, so that's why I always told you I was at the square instead. It was easy to visit Keigo because you refused to go back to the water after that." Toshi then explained, leaning against the wall behind his bed. "Eventually, he couldn't come that often anymore by the time we were teens since he had to stay with his family and help them out more as the next oldest male. I haven't seen him since, but it's good to know that he's been doing good."

"It's all starting to make sense..." Enji grumbled, giving a rather playful glare towards Toshi, who only simply held his hands up in defense.

"If you don't mind then, I would like to get to know you better Keigo."

"Ask me any questions you have. I'll answer as best as I can."
