【A L V I N】

Did I freak out? Yes.

Did I get off of the couch at the speed of light? Yes.

Did I run around the room like a complete madman trying not to scream my ass off? Yes.

Did I ramble under my breath as if I were speaking English backwards? Yes.

Was Lucien there to witness all of the above unfolding in front of his very eyes? Definitely.

Was I embarrassed? Maybe a little bit.

"Kill it, kill it, kill it!" I screeched quietly in an attempt to not wake anyone up as I ran around the couch in circles like a toddler who just shit his pants. Not going to lie though, another moment spent in that room with that disgusting roach would be enough to make me shit my pants.

"On it, captain," he chuckled before throwing the blanket off his body and getting off the couch to switch on the light. That action perhaps ended up startling the roach because it fell down onto the floor from the ceiling with the most disgusting noise I had ever heard. If you've never heard the body of a bug hitting the floor from the ceiling, then be glad.

"Kill it," I persisted, reaching my limit. I was so close to screaming my ass off.

Funny how we were gawking over makeshift stars just a minute or two ago.

"Should I kill it with the spray this time?" he questioned. "No, it'd be best not to. It might interfere with your sleep."

"How thoughtful," I said with a grin. "Now shut the fuck up and kill it."

"Okay okay," he said with a chuckle before making his way over to the roach and attempting to smack it with a slipper. However, it slipped away. Did I just do that? Yes, I did.

It went dashing straight under the desk at the corner of the room and Lucien let out a huff of annoyance before cracking his knuckles, "This one seems to be fast. It looks like it can fly as well."

"Thanks, that really makes me feel so much better."

"No worries," he responded with his back turned towards me. "I'll have this fucker dead in no time."

He waited another minute or two and when he realized that the roach wasn't planning on getting out any time soon, he slid the other slipper he'd been holding under the table and out came the devil - and it was coming straight for me. Which was why I ended up running the other way nearly screaming my lungs out.

"Alvin, don't be so loud," he warned. "You're going to wake the others up. You don't want that, do you?"

"I don't but I'm being chased, as if you wouldn't scream your ass off," I hissed before jumping onto the couch once again, hoping I had escaped the little beast. Lucien simply cracked an amused smile before making his way over to the couch and climbing onto it beside me. He got onto his knees and looked over the couch.

"There it is!" he cheered before attempting to reach over and smack it with his slipper, however the roach wasn't having any of it and came flying straight for my head - and almost instinctively, I jumped out of the way, and so did he.

That was how I ended up on the floor with him on top of me, pinning me to the ground.

We said nothing. Just stared at each other in complete shock.

"U-Um," I began, clearing my throat. "Is that my slipper you're holding?"

"I-I think so? I just grabbed whatever I saw," he confessed, his eyes as wide as saucers.

"Jesus, it smells like shit," I complained before attempting to slide out of the way.

"Alvin," Lucien called out. "Stay still."

"Why?" I questioned, raising my brows.

And that was when I felt the all too familiar feeling on my cheek.

"No," I gasped before letting out the loudest scream known to man and attempting to sit up - however that resulted in the both of us rolling over and now I was on top of him. At the same time, the roach ended up falling onto his forehead.

"It's on your forehead," I pointed out, every inch of my body shaking in fright.

"You have it where you want it," he instructed quietly whilst handing me the slipper. "Now be a brave boy and smack the fuck out of it."

"You want me to smear the blood of a roach all over your forehead?" I questioned, disgusted.

"Anything to kill a roach," he stated. "I'll go take a shower or something after, just try to smack it."

I took a deep breath and brought my arm up with the slipper in hand. However, the fear in me was preventing me from going any further than that - and Lucien seemed to notice. He grabbed onto my hips securely to hold me still and began, "Stop moving around and don't overthink it. Just kill it."

I swallowed all my fear and brought the slipper down to his face - what I failed to notice before the slipper hit his pitiful face was the cockroach hopping out of the way. That was how I ended up smacking him right on his face with a slipper.

"Holy FUCK!" he cursed, bringing his hands up to his face to cup his nose. "Alvin, I said my forehead!"

"I wasn't thinking straight!" I insisted.

"Did you get it at least?"

"No," I confessed. "It ran away."

"Oh my fucking God," he sighed before taking the slipper from me once again. I climbed off of him in embarrassment and watched as he looked around the room for the roach.

"It's not here anymore," he stated, rubbing his face with his free hand whilst wincing in pain.

I walked over behind him and grabbed a hold of his shoulders to turn him around so he was facing me, "It didn't leave a mark but I'm sure it hurt. I'm so sorry, holy shit."

"It's okay, it's not your fault," he said, shaking his head before reaching his hand out to flick my forehead with an amused grin. "Let's try to sleep for now, yeah? Hopefully we can get the roach in the morning."

"In the morning? Hell no, I'll be dead by then."

"Do you want to stay up all night trying to kill it then?"

"No," I grumbled.

"Exactly, now get your ass back onto the couch," he chuckled, messing my hair up a little before tossing the slipper aside and beginning to make his way over to the couch.

Mission try to sleep in the same room as a roach.
