"Do you really have to go to New York?"

"Yes I do," Beck answered, packing his suitcase with clothes and other items he may need to spend a few weeks in New York. "I don't want to pass up this opportunity."

"Fine," his girlfriend, Cassandra, sighed. "I'm gonna miss you."

Beck smiled and pecked her lips. "It'll only be for a few weeks. I'll be back before you know it."

Cassandra nodded and headed out of the room, leaving Beck alone to continue packing.

Cassandra was a pretty ginger with big green eyes and a sweet personality. She had met Beck at a party, and they immediately hit it off.

They had dated for a few months before making it official. Now, they had been together for two years, happier than ever.

Well, Cassandra was happier than ever.

Beck loved Cass. He truly did.

But something just felt...off.

But he had always shrugged it off. Cassandra was amazing. She was beautiful, sweet, and just pure perfection.

She was perfect for him.

So there wasn't any reason to think otherwise.

"Babe," Cass called from the bathroom. "Could you get my clothes? I left them in the bedroom."

Beck nodded, even though she couldn't see him, and headed to the bathroom to hand them to her.

"Thank you," she giggled. "I'm taking a shower. Wanna join me?"

"I have to finish packing," he reminded her, a goofy smile playing on his lips.

"It won't take long," she said, beginning to unbutton his shirt. "I could use some company."

"I don't know..."

"Pleaseeee," she begged, her long lashes fluttering in persuasion, her speckled green eyes staring into his brown ones.

He loved those eyes, but he wanted to be looking into the blue ones that he missed so much.

"Fine, fine," he chuckled, following her into the bathroom reluctantly and closing the door behind him.

-

"Love you," Cassandra pecked his lips softly. "Make sure to call me everyday. And text. And email. And face-time. And- "

"I got it," Beck laughed. "Love you too. I'll see you soon."

"I'm gonna be so bored without you here," she pouted. "I'm gonna have the entire house for myself...nobody to share it with."

"You're acting like I'm leaving forever," he chuckled lightly. "It's only for a few weeks. I'm sure you'll be able to manage."

"I know," she sighed. "Just don't fall in love with another girl, okay?"

Beck rolled his eyes. "Like that'll ever happen. You're the only one for me, Cass."

"Good." She pecked his lips again and shooed him off to the airport. "Now go and catch your flight before it's too late."

He smiled and nodded, rushing inside the airport to get to his flight.

He sat in one of the seats in the front of the airplane, his hands gripping the armrests as he stared out the window.

He was allowed to audition for the biggest movie that was happening in New York. He was finally going to land a roll in a movie, hopefully.

If things go to plan.

He had landed rolls in a few small movies, and he was thankful that his career was getting somewhere, even if it wasn't getting very far. But this could be life-changing for him. He could finally become a big actor like he had always wanted to be.

If he stars in this movie, he could land more rolls in other movies, and he could actually be getting somewhere with his life.

He already had his life planned out. Make it big in Hollywood, propose to Cassandra, and live the rest of his life happy and free.

Cassandra might not have been who he was hoping to spend the rest of his life with, but he loved her. She...she was the right woman for him.

At least, he thought she was the right woman for him.

But no matter how much he tried to deny it, Jade was still the one for him.

Five years later, and he still loved her more than anything.

But he had to move on. Jade probably had moved on a long time ago, and now it was his turn to do the same.

She was no longer in his life anymore.

He had to forget about her. Move on with his life.

So that was why he was going to purchase and ring and propose to Cassandra. He would marry her, and have kids with her. That was what he wanted.

Well, he wanted all of that, just not with Cass.

He wanted it with Jade.

But he didn't have a choice. Jade wasn't his anymore. She was somewhere in the world, hopefully happy and healthy.

As long as she was happy, he could learn to be happy too.

Even if it hurt, way too much.

He could learn to be happy without her.

Second chapter :)

Going to try and update as much as I can, since school is starting in two days, and it's my first day of highschool.

And I most likely won't have as much time to update as I would like to have, because school will most likely stress me out way too much.

But anywho, comment your thoughts please! Do you think Beck will move on with his life? And what do you think about Cassandra?

Until next time!
