Huminga ako ng malalim bago inilapat ang ballpen sa papel na nakapatong sa table sa harapan ko.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the contract was signed!" Everyone clapped their hands while there are flashes from the cameras and also medias.

I plastered a smile in my face while facing the crowd.

Nang matapos ang picture taking ay hinarap ko si Juaquin and pwinersa ang sarili ko na huwag siyang paikutan ng mata.

"May this project won't failed and would be a success, Ms. Silver," he spoke and smiled at me. What a fake smile.

"I hope so too, Mr. Vajer. I hope none of us will break each other's trust." Sinuklian ko ng pinakamatamis na ngiti si Juaquin bago tinanggap ang kamay niyang nakalahad sa'kin. He pursed his lips.

"Congratulations, Kerin!" I smiled at Amiel nang salubungin niya ako palabas ng venue ng contract signing.

"Salamat, Amiel!" I greeted at him.

Magsasalita pa sana siya, but Glen came.

"Ma'am, any minute from now the meeting will start." Tinanguan ko lang siya kaya't nagpaalam ako kay Amiel.

Naalala ko pa ang napag usapan namin last time.

"How are you na?" I asked him.

"I'm fine, it's good to be back here in Manila!" He said habang patuloy kaming naglalakad.

"Why, saan ka galing?"

"Iloilo," he said. Sa naalala ko ay may negosyo sila ni Amiel sa iba't ibang panig ng bansa. They are one of the most successful company in terms of engineering firm.

"Kerin ." I flinched nang bigla niya akong pinatigil sa paglakad at pinaharap sa kanya.

"I still like you."

I can't believe that after how many years he still like me. Simula pa nang highschool kami niya ako nagugustuhan and that was long time ago.

Or either it's just his undying lust over me.

"Ms. Silver!" Balisa akong napalingon sa likod ko at nagulat nang makita si Juaquin na nakatayo doon.

"What?" I exclaimed.

"You're blocking the way," he said kaya nabalik ako sa wisyo. Natulala pala ako sa pintuan sa labas ng conference room.

"Oh, sorry." I said before I stepped inside the conference room.

The other board members are already sitting in their respective chairs.

"The next time you're thinking about your boyfriend, make sure you're not in the way, blocking someone." I froze because his airy voice brought shiver down my spine.

Boyfriend?

The hell, wala na akong boyfriend.
