I bolted out the door and started following my father.

"Where are we going?" I asked struggling to keep up due to my shoes.

"Away from here." He said and kept up his fast stride.

"Dad I thought you were dead." I exclaimed and he whipped around to face me.

"It's better that you just forget about me Lacey I just came to talk." He sternly said to me.

I was slightly taken aback and tears pricked at the corners of my eyes but I held them back.

"Okay then, talk." I spat at him.

"Lacey you need to be careful. What you can do is powerful you can't let people take advantage of that. You're just starting to begin what you can do." He said in a hushed tone.

"What else can I do?" I asked not believing what I was hearing.

"So many things Lacey, you can see people's memories and people can show you images through what they see and people can talk to you in your head! Do you not realize what great abilities you have?" He said surprised I asked.

"I'm kinda getting the grip of it still." I said looking around to where we had arrived.

"Lacey I have to go again, maybe one day you will understand why I left but today is not that day. I need you to trust what I'm doing."

"Why can't you tell me?" I asked and he shook his head and grabbed my shoulders.

"It's to keep you safe Lacey. That's all I ever wanted to do, was to keep you safe." He continued to run and I followed him quickly.

We had arrived at a veterinary clinic. The one Lydia told me to go the first night I arrived in Beacon Hills. So much has changed since then.

A familiar blue jeep pulled up to the clinic and Stiles clambered out and Scott was hot on his heels. I turned around and my father was gone. I felt a pang of hurt course through me. He had left me again.

"Lacey! A little help!" A strained Stiles called to me.

I ran over to them, they were carrying the boy Brett out of the backseat of the jeep and into the clinic. I hurriedly opened the door for them and a man stood waiting.

"Quickly put him on the table!" The man said and we followed him into the back of the clinic.

My brain was whirling with thoughts.

"Lacey I need you to help hold him down." The man said to me, I obeyed.

Brett's eyes were glowing a bright gold and fangs were protruding from his mouth. He was thrashing and growling ferociously.

"What's wrong with him!" I asked, struggling to hold him down.

"Wolfsbane." Scott answered sweat forming above his brow.

"He needs to be still for the incision!" The man said. Suddenly I heard someone but no ones lips were moving.

"I'm Dr. Deaton Lacey it's very nice to meet you."

The man, Dr. Deaton, had sent me a thought just like my father said. His name was familiar possibly because Lydia had said something about him. He was looking at me and I gave him a slight nod.

Brett ripped himself out of our grasp and went immediately for the door and was stopped by the one and only Peter Hale.

Peter knocked him on the side of the head with an extremely powerful force causing Brett to go unconscious.

Deaton made an incision in his chest and a yellow liquid seeped from the wound.

"Lacey it's lovely to meet you." Peter said with a malicious grin plastered on his face.
