jupiter has become brighter
her lullabies sweeter,
more gentle and warm.
for a while, her light had dimmed.
she was still my jupiter,
the same jupiter that
smiled when i approached
and listened carefully when i told my stories
she was just quieter,
more feeble than i was used to.
perhaps she was just sad.
it's okay to be sad.
it is normal, i suppose
for your light to flicker
every now and then
it always brings me comfort
knowing that this light will always
burn bright again
so bright indeed,
that you will exclaim
jupiter is so bright today!
and you will gaze at the sky
with a heart full of tranquility
because her light is burning again,
blinding and brilliant.
— it just takes time for a spark to grow into a roaring flame.
