Emily

It has been a week since I started working as the personal assistant, secretary whatever of Adrian. I barely saw him this whole week. I think he was somewhere in Europe. Without his personal assistant. Wow, that sure makes me feel capable. Lucas on the other hand has been around 24/7, and I'm not complaining.

He is a great source of entertainment for me.

I was sitting on my desk, conversing with Lucas who was seated right on my left. Yep, he decided to shift his desk right next to me since it was 'nice having me around closeby'. And what was the conversation about? Well it was something about me being the protagonist of a wattpad story.

This guy is something beyond insane...

"How did you even come up with this absurd conclusion?"

"Well you're the innocent, virgin who became Adrian's personal assistant due to some family crisis." He said in a full serious tone. "And Adrian is like the CEO, rich billionaire and hot- according to all the girls. He's every girl's dream guy- except yours! This is exactly a wattpad story." He said with a smirk, making me laugh.

"You're crazy Lucas." The mention of Adrian's name made me realize that I actually missed- wait what.

Just kidding, really don't miss him. It doesn't work that way. Probably would have missed Lucas if he went, not Adrian. Nope.

"Too bad it's not going to end like one, because by now you have probably realised that I am hotter than the CEO, and well I have a better personality. Not to mention that I'm funny and charismatic."

"So?" I decided to play along.

"Wait no, that just makes me sound like the second lead, the nice dude who always gets rejected." He pouted, then gave me that infamous Flynn Rider smile. "Eitherways, you will end up with me cause you clearly fell for me. And it's not like the CEO is smitten with you. I on the other hand might be." He said winking, and finally turning his attention to his laptop. "So you and me, Saturday?"

"Umm what." He isn't asking me out, is he?

"Do I have to spell it out?" He asked scratching the back of his head. "The wattpad joke aside, I need to confirm if I'm actually interested in you. So I'm asking you out on a date."

"Lucas."

"Say yes, say yes cause I need to know."

"Lucas seriously?" I asked dumbfounded. He nodded, his cheeks slightly pink. "Tough luck my friend but the answer is no." I replied flipping the pages infront of me. You're not the only one who has heard this song.

"Why you gotta be so rude, don't you know I'm human too?" He said in a disappointed tone.

This earned him a fit of laughter from me.

"What's so funny?" I instantly stopped laughing, and turned my face towards the entrance door, and there he stood in his morning glory- the one and only Adrian Henderson. His gaze was focused on me, and he was smiling.

"Oh she was just about to say yes to a date with me. This Sunday to be more precise." This wiped the smile off Adrian' s face.

What? What?? I clearly said no!

This caused me to glare at Lucas. I knew he was a total flirt, but saying that infront of Adrian!

Dammit, Emily get a hold on yourself, Adrian is not your boyfriend! But he is the boss! And office romance might not even be allowed. Adrian's gaze darkened as he stared between me and Lucas. And my throat went dry. Completely dry. Couldn't even deny the fact that I said no to the date.
