A little about Kristen:
A bit about me...
My name is Kristen. I'm an urban fantasy author obsessed with mythology and culture.
I have Scottish and Welsh blood, which inspired many of the characters and settings in the SPIRITS' WAR trilogy. I grew up reading all kinds of fantasy and listening to multiple genres of music, which inspired me to begin writing stories and songs of my own at a young age. Some of my influences have included the authors J.K. Rowling, Kenneth Oppel, Kevin Hearne, and Christopher Paolini.
Born in Alberta, I currently live in British Columbia, Canada, where I enjoy playing the piano, hiking, songwriting, and of course, reading and writing stories.

Some of Kristen's work:
[One Million Project - Fantasy/Sci-Fi Anthology]Russell Cornelius Brattle - a punctual and orderly teen - worked long hours as an apprentice tinker to provide for his broken family. His cousin Agatha - a free-spirited youngster - was eager to put her sewing days behind her and get her hands greasy. But she and her prosthetic limb turned out to be more trouble than they were worth. One act of clumsiness put into motion a chain of events that not even Russell could fix...
A collection of short stories, poetry, and songs.
Fox Universe - Earth-F comics]Chosen at a young age by the great lamas of the City of Flames, Jean Leblanc was plucked from 1930 Canada and whisked away to Tibet. Taught alongside other young monks, such as his "brother", Sonam, he became skilled at the art of illusionary magic. Sonam, too, learned illusions but instead excelled at bringing them to life with sound-a lion's roar, a vulture's screech... But the monks' training was not just for show: the lamas prophesized the gate to the Fourth Dimension would open wide once again, threatening to destroy the planet. The year is now 1944. Eighteen-year-old Jean is sent back to the west, following in the footsteps of previous pupils of the lamas, while the younger Sonam is stuck at the City of Flames until he comes of age. Now known by the name Illuso, Jean cuts his teeth on preventing petty crime by day and meditating by night. Sonam works on an escape plan in order to join Jean.Forever walking in the shadows of older heroes, such as Yarko the Great and Zanzibar the Magician, the two young men hope to one day play their part in sealing up the gate to the Fourth Dimension for good. With Illuso's imagery and Sonam's sound, they'll be unstoppable.
