An hour goes by, and the first-years are showering. Nishinoya's getting really impatient and she's getting tired of being sticky. "This is the wooooorst." she complains into the pillow. "Mhmm..." Ennoshita responds, not really paying attention. At all.
Hinata's gone, refilling her water bottle from a near fountain. She got bored of waiting and decided to actually do something instead of moping around.
Hinata comes back around 10 minutes later. "They're still not back?" she asks, looking around. "NO!" Noya yells.
Meanwhile in the shower-
"TSUKISHIMA, I SWEAR TO GOD, IF YOU DON'T GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME, I'M GOING TO TELL DAICHI." Kageyama screams, squirming away from Tsukishima, who's cackling.
"First of all, it's a lizard. Second, it's harmless. Is the King afraid of a lizard?" he says, shoving his hand in front of the setter's face. "T-Tsukki..." Tadashi sighs.
"WHAT COULD THEY POSSIBLY BE DOING?" Noya whines. "Playing around probably." Suga laughs. "We're back..." Yamaguchi says as he opens the door. "FINALLY! WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?" Noya asks. Cue Kageyama walking in, completely traumatized along with a cackling Tsukishima from behind.
"Y'know, I'm suddenly not curious anymore." Noya says, staring at Tsukishima in awe as he laughs. She grabs her back amd speeds down the hall.."Wait for me!" she stops once she hears Hinata's voice. "Hurry up!" she laughs.
Once they make it to the showers, they open the doors, only to see puddles if water all.over the floor. The stare horrified at the sight in front of them.
"What happened here-?" Hinata asks. "Maybe that's why Tsukishima was laughing..." Noya says. "It looks like someone fell." she says, starting to laugh. "Of course the bean pole laughs at someone's misery." Hinata sighs, crossing her arms. "Not gonna lie, it would've been hilarious to see someone slip here..." Noya says, looking at the puddles on the ground. Hinata lightly slaps her arm. She walks over to a corner, putting her bag down, and getting a towel out. She brings the towel near the bath, laying it down on a dry spot, Noya doing the same.
Once they get in the bath, they start talking about nothing and everything. It was these little things that made them enjoy each others' company. Not just themselves, but the whole team also. They sorta missed missed showering with the team, as weird as that sounds.
"Y'know, Noya.." Hinata says, hugging her knees. "We should plan a beach day." she looks at Noya, who now has stars shining in her eyes. "WE TOTALLY SHOULD!" she cheers. "We should do it when Fukorodani is here." Hinata says. (omg, I just imagined them getting their periods at the beach, and i-)
"YEAH!" she says, arm shooting her arms up in the air. Hinata smiles at her senpai. "I can't wait to see Bokuto!!" she says, suddenly getting a boost of energy. "Oh~?" Noya coos. "Do tell." she says, propping her face on her hands. "What do you mean?" Hinata asks, genuinely confused.
"Oh boy." Noya sighs, smacking her hand over her forehead. Hinata cocks her head towards the side. "Nevermind, child." Noya says. "Nevermind."
'This child is truly hopeless.' she thinks to herself, staring at Hinata. "Are you okay?" Hinata says concerned. "I'm okay. Are you?" she asks. "What's in that noggin of yours?" she laughs. Hinata's confused face sends makes her laugh even harder.
"We should get out now. I'm starting to prune." Hinata says, picking at her fingers. "Aw. I don't wanna leave though." Noya says, swirling her hand around the pool. "I'll get out then.." Hinata says. "No point in staying here alone, though." the libero whines. "Then get out?" Hinata suggests. Nishinoya sighs, but grabs her towel.
They wrap themselves in the fabric and carefully walk out.
Noya grabs both of their bags, hand Hinata hers'. "Thank ye." she says as she takes her bag from Noya. "Mhm!" Noya smiles at her, before placing her bag back on the ground, squatting so she can look for clothes. She put her underwear they had bought from that hell-hole, and stuffed her clothes in the plastic bag she had labeled as "Dirtie,"
"Noya, you do know that's not how you spell, it...right?" she asks, confused herself. Noya looks back down at the bag. "Oh shit."
They both start laughing loudly. After a few seconds of not being able to breathe, Noya starts to gasp for air. "Okay, okay.." she says, wiping stray tears away. "Lets get dressed.." she says with a chuckle.
Smiling, she unzips her bag, looking through her clothes. She furrows her eyebrows as she sees she has no available shorts left. "Hey, Shoyo...?" she says, right before she looks at her. When her eyes trail over to her friend, Nishinoya catches the spiker, throwing all her clothes out of her bag nervously.
"Noya.." she says, after she finally threw most of her clothes out the bag. "Yes?" she says nervously. "Please tell me you have spare shorts.." she says, starting to panic. "Uhm, no..." she says. "I was about to ask you that.." she tells her.
"Because all I have is a really short skirt.." she says. Noya says nothing and holds up a black skirt. "Me too." she says, voice shaking.
"OH HELL NO." Noya's screams can be heard all around campus.
"Was that Noya's voice?" Asahi perks up from his book. "Probably." Daichi responds casually. "She's way too loud." Suga chuckles.
"I'D RATHER WEAR A GARBAGE BAG THAN THIS PIECE OF-" Noya starts arguing with no one in particular. "Noya, you're not wearing a garbage bag." Hinata laughs. Nishinoya frowns, knowing Hinata's right. "I don't wanna wear this...shit." Noya spats out. "I don't either, but we kinda have to. Also, stop that, you potty mouth." Hinata scolds. Nishinoya scowls, shoving her legs down the skirt. "Hmph." she huffs. Hinata smiles at her perky friend.
She may be a potty mouth, but she wouldn't change her for anything. "I don't wanna show up at the dorms, looking like..this." Nishinoya says. "I mean, what could happen?"
