*~* Rikku's P.O.V *~*

As we walked back to the car, I felt so lighthearted. I had the best guy in the world with me right now and he is all mine. When we reached the car, my thoughts couldn't help but linger to Shane. What will I do? Just ignore him or what? I don't know, but ill figure it out later. Right now I just want to spend the day with Damon.

We got into the car and it was already almost dark. I suddenly grew tired and practically fell asleep on the spot, but I wasn't tired enough to believe that I didn't see her again. It's been a few days and I have had a lot on my mind recently, so she was more or less shoved into a box in the back of my mind. Well that was until she just took over my vision, appearing in the middle of the road.

I felt my eyes widen, almost to the point where I thought they would pop out of my skull, and I tried my hardest not to scream. That didn't go over too well with my brain and I practically screamed bloody murder out of sheer surprise. Damon instantly slammed on the brakes and I felt my body jolt, my arms instinctively going out in front of me to stop my head from slamming into the dashboard.

My vision was phasing so I knew that something was happening, but what? When I looked up to see if she was still there, I was met by disappointment when she wasn't. I slumped back against the seat, exhaled the huge breath I had been holding, and looked over at Damon. "What the hell was that about?!" he basically yelled at me.

"Just drive... I don't want to talk about it okay?"

"We aren't going anywhere until you explain to me why that just happened. What were you screaming at baby?" he started out harsh, but settled into his normal soothing voice.

I tried to reason with him because I really didn't want to bring him into all of this, it was too much especially after him just coming home. "I just thought that I saw something in the road, but it was just my imagination playing tricks on me since I'm getting a little tired." It wasn't a complete lie since I did see her in the road, but he doesn't need to know.

He gave me a suspicious look, but he didn't push me since he just sighed and started the car, continuing to drive home. It was a quiet drive, but not long after the little incident we stopped at a Starbucks since Damon was in need of caffeine. We both got our usual drinks and when we pulled out of the driveway, I knew something wasn't right. I felt it the entire way here, but I just thought it was the paranoia of seeing her again.

I tried to stop him, but it all happened so fast that I couldn't even catch it all. We were at a traffic light and we went when the light was green, but the last thing I heard was the screeching of tires and the sound of crunching metal.
