AN: So I'm not sure how else to continue this story. I might come back to it and add more chapters but for now, I'd like to just post this ending.
Lena stepped out of the elevator as it reached to the top floor. You hadn't come home when you had said you would and it worried Lena. One quick glance at your coordinate and she found that you were still at the Watchtower. She quietly makes her way to the balcony, not wanting to disrupt the quiet. Wrapping her arms around your waist, she leans over to rest her head on your shoulders. Neither of you say anything, simply just enjoying the peace and quiet. After what seems like an eternity, you turn around in Lena's arms and wraps your arms around her neck.
"What are you doing here?"
"You never made it home. I got worried."
You give her a small smile and leaned in to kiss her.
"I'm sorry. I lost track of time up here."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"I just can't help but think how different everything is. Two years ago and aliens were prosecuted and tortured. Now they're free to do whatever they wish, all thanks to you Lena."
Lena blushes brightly, still not used to being praised for what she does.
"I couldn't have done it without you."
"Oh please. I did like 5% of the work, you put in the rest."
Lena rolls her eyes, knowing that she would never be able to get you to agree that it had been a team effort between the two of you.
"We can agree to disagree."
"Right. I've also been thinking about how I was close to giving up after spending years in the phantom zone thinking that I would never find my sister or live a full life and now I've returned with my sister and gained another. Most importantly, I met the love of my life that I'll be soon marrying. I can't help but think that Rao was looking out for me. It really feels like he was." You close your eyes and let your forehead rest against Lena's. "I can't wait to marry you, Lena."
Lena has to wipe away her tears as she had started crying thinking about how alone you must've felt in the Phantom Zone. She leans in to kiss you, where you are able to taste the salt of her tears. You open your eyes and give her a small smile.
"I'm okay, Lena. You've helped me heal."
You sigh as you feel her hands trace the scars on your wrist.
"I wasn't able to stop this."
"You had no way of doing so but you saved me and I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you."
She reaches up to cup your cheeks so you can look down at her.
"I'm only going to say this once so listen to me close." You give her a nod, making her smile. "I love you, (y/n). We're going to marry soon. I don't want for our marriage to start with you thinking that you owe me. You don't. I only did what's right."
You give her a wide smile and leaned in to kiss her softly.
"I don't know how you manage to make me fall more in love with you."
"It's part of my charm."
You roll your eyes and reach down to carry her bridal style.
"Lets go home, princess charming."
"I regret ever introducing you to Cinderella."
