imarni calàis' passion for music is deeper than the waters in the atlantic. she spends more time writing songs than she does watching football - 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
it's rare anything surpasses her love for the sport...

IT WAS ALMOST MIDDAY when i picked up my first passengers. brother and sister, i presumed, because of their shared features.
they were indian, both attired formally, conversing with one another at times but mostly with their head in their phones.
that went for most people that came in a pair, and it was usually two males in business suits carrying briefcases.
the majority had been single passengers, and like kelis had warned, there had been two so far who annoyed me with their bad attitudes.
"it's so stupidly hot in this car!" a woman named niamh who looked to be in her late twenties snapped, fanning herself and rolling her eyes. "can't you do something about it?"
she really could've just taken off her parka coat if she was that hot. i mean, it was her choice to pick a blacked-out car to ride in.
i took the polite route and asked her if she wanted the windows down even though i was cold myself.
she said no.
she just wanted something to complain about. so, really, she only had herself to blame.
that, and i may've turned on the heating in my car after her sly comment.
yes, i was being a little petty, but it was cold. freezing, actually. it's december and in manchester, you can only expect frosty weather.
on top of that, the rain kept on coming and going. so she was just exaggerating.
that may've cost kelis a good review since i was driving under her name, i hadn't checked yet.
after that was a man whose name i'd forgotten. he kept complaining about the weather outside as if i were the one that controlled it.
"the rain's gonna start again, ain't it?" he'd said, pushing on my seat. "make sure you get to my destination before it ruins my clothes."
i really don't know how kelis did it.
i kicked him out my car. i don't know where he found the audacity to push on my seats, but it wasn't happening. he had to go.
a bit later, there'd been a group of three. two girls and a boy. they voiced that they liked my playlist and that was my favourite drive so far.
i ended up doing what kairo told me to do this morning and shamelessly promoted my EP. they all willingly made the £5.99 purchase on itunes and downloaded it on every single platform.
