A Trip To The Future

Team minato followed kakashi into the living room with varying thoughts on their mind.
Rin was heart broken. Seeing naruto kiss kakashi and him accepting it so easily finally made her realise that kakashi is actually married.and it is not her by his side.

Minato didn’t know what to feel.naruto was his son.his and kushina's son.but he couldn't sense kushina.more importantly his son married his student who was atleast 13 year older than him.and just what in the world happened to change his student like this.

Obito still couldn’t get rin's death out of his head.

After team minato settled on the couch and kakashi on the floor, finally kakashi broke the silence that felt upon them after naruto left.
"Well,as you wont remember anything i guess i can answer your questions.so that when naruto comes back he can spent some quality time with you guys seeing he never got the chance to do so."

"Did i died before he was born?" minato asked with a grimace.he felt sad to know that he left his son alone at least kushina is there for him.

"Actually you died the day he was born,that's why he never celebrated his birthday. " kakashi said nonchalantly.

That made minato's heart twist with a sudden pain.before he or anyone else could say something kakashi interjected them saying,"how about i give you guys a short explanation of your deaths?"

It cause them to grimace but they nodded in consent anyway.

"First was obito's death," kakashi said pointing his finger towards obito"he died on a mission when we were 12,trying to save me and getting crushed by rocks."

Rin made a choked noise.While obito's face twisted into a frown.

"Where was i?" minato asked his jaw clenching tight.

"Late." kakashi replied with a composed posture. "You were on a different mission and were late to save obito but saved rin and me."

Minato's clenched his hand so tight that  his knuckles became white.he was late.so much for being the fastest shinobi alive.

Kakshi continued. "Second rin."that made obito grit his teeth." she died after a year."he stopped and clenched his hands.
"How?" obito asked through his gritted teeth.
"Suicide."
"What? " all three of them asked in unison.
"Impossible. Why would i..." rin tried to protest.

"After almost a year of obito's death rin was kidnapped by the kiri shinobi and i was there to save her, i did it because i promised obito that i would protect her but when we were escaping rin protested saying that she can't go to konoha because kiri made her a jinchuriki and the moment she put her feet into konoha the beast will be released. But i tried to take her to a safe place anyway.." Kakashi paused to take a deep breathe, " but we were ambushed by the kiri nin,rin couldn’t fight and i was low on chakra so i was forced to use a Lightning jutsu i created that was made for quick kill. It is so fast that i can not stop it in the middle of it even if i want to and she knew that...."he stopped again and pushed his hand through his hair,"she came in front of my jutsu that was aimed for the kiri nin.my hand went right through her heart."

This time rin gave a choked sob.she couldn’t believe she did that to kakashi.

Minato looked at kakashi going to ask something when kakashi said,"you were late sensei. Again."
Something shattered inside minato seeing those pained eyes of kakashi.

"You killed rin," obito asked through gritted teeth.he was fuming. He was about to launch at kakashi when minato put his hand on obito's shoulder. "She killed herself using kakashi," he corrected obito.
Obito sat back but he didn’t let go of his rage.
