Two: The Party

Third Person POV

It was the day of the party that was discussed all around the school. You were sitting with the rest of the host club members discussing the plan.

"Well, I don't really see why I need to be involved." Haruhi said. You agreed with a nod. Tamaki let out a noise of disgruntlement.

"As the host club it is our duty to make all women happy!" He whined. You stood up from your seat and looked at him.

"It's her fault for even ignoring him in the first place. She can't tie him down completely, regardless of marriage."

Tamaki walked up to you as the others remained silent. He looked at you as he tried to muster up a glare. It didn't work. "You shouldn't talk about our guests like that." He said.

"She's your guest. Not mine. I'm going to go to the party, and I'm not going to help out with this outrageous plan-"

Kyoya put his hand on your shoulder. He looked at Tamaki. "I got it from here, she's stubborn, continue planning with everyone else." He said. He grabbed your hand and began pulling you away.

"Kyoya, what are you doing?" You glared. He returned your glare with a more terrifying presence. You gulped and crossed your arms.

"Y/n, Tamaki is the president. It's rude to disobey him." He scolded. You sighed and looked off. "Whatever.." you mumbled. "I'll do it, but I don't care about pleasing the ladies."

Time Skip

Soon the party began and you did your best to charm all the men. You didn't talk to Tamaki after your small argument. The others told you plan and all you were told to do was entertain the guests.

It didn't take much to charm the boys and you avoided the glares the other women would give you. It was unnecessary jealousy. They acted as if you had a crush on the boys or one of the boys had a crush on you. Pfft, as if.

You gathered up with all of the hosts once they winner was chosen. You watched as the twins sacrificed Haruhi. You really felt for the commoner. Though, you couldn't contain your laughter when Tamaki was the reason for the scene played out in front of you.

Haruhi was kissing a girl. Did she like it? I guess you could asked her later in private, just for laughs.

Overall, you had a good time at the ball, there wasn't any issues with harassment from some guys or rowdiness of crazed fangirls. As people slowly left the party it was only you and the other male hosts. Haruhi went home earlier to both hide her embarrassment and study.

Then the twins left, flashing you mischievous smiles. You flashed one back before seeing your upperclassmen leave as well. You bowed and wished them all a goodnight. Soon, Kyoya left and you flashed each other glares. It was kind of a "we'll-talk more-about-it-later" glare.

It was awkwardly silent. The tension was as thick as a jar of molasses. You took a glance at Tamaki who was picking up stray pieces of trash. "I didn't expect you to clean." You spoke up. No response.

You shrugged and grabbed your bag before walking towards the door. You stopped once you felt a hand on your shoulder. "What do you want?" You asked him.

You kept looking forward as he leaned down towards your ear. "I'm sorry." He whispered before pulling away. You turned to him. "Why are you apologizing?"

He looked down, also confused. "Hey! Why am I apologizing? I order you to apologize!" At least he got his old spirit back.

"No." You said. He went pale again. It caused you to chuckle. "Listen, I'm sorry." You said after a short silence. "I was just.. I guess.. shocked? It's not usual to see people care for others." You said.

Tamaki smiled. "I care about everyone. Including you." He smiled. A small brush crept up to your face. Oh hell no.

"I didn't know you told jokes." You mumbled. Tamaki blinked before grabbing your hand.

"I'm a mere jester in front of my queen, aren't I?" He flirted. You blushed deeply and shoved him off. "No! Nope! I'm going home!"

"Waiiit! Y/nnnn!" He shouted.
