I woke up and rolled over to check the time. 11:47. I got out of bed and walked downstairs. I started making pancakes for myself and anyone else who wanted them. I ate 2 and walked back up to my room to get ready I jumped into the shower and washed my body and hair before stepping out. I wrapped a towel around myself as I began drying my hair and leaving it in its natural wavy state. I walked into my closet and put on dark blue ripped Jean shorts, a white t-shirt with an elephant pattern, and a pale knit cardigan. I slipped on a pair of white converse, grabbed my board and walked out the door.

I've been riding around aimlessly for about 45 minutes and I decided to go to the skate shop. Part of me hoped Luke was there- 'No, no you don't. You don't feel anything.' I walked into the shop and saw Luke behind the counter with Shawn and Kyle no where in sight. "Hey," I began, "Wheres Shawn and Kyle?" "Shawn went to get lunch and Kyle is in the back," he answered. A few minutes later Shawn walked in holding 2 bags of food. "Hey Emma, I got you chicken tenders," he said when he saw me, "Okay thanks, I smiled.

About 20 minutes later we were done and we started goofing off with the penny boards. "Hey, do you remember the first time I went to a skate shop? I was riding the penny board and I rammed right into that huge box," I laughed. "I remember because you kept using me to push off and to stop yourself," Kyle laughed.

Around 5 o'clock I grabbed my board and was getting ready to go home. "Bye guy, I'm heading home," I heard a series of "Byes," and "See ya's," it only took me about 15 minutes to get home. I walked in and saw Sarah sitting on the couch watching Friends. "Hey," I said as I sat down next to her. "Hey, will you take me to get my board tomorrow?" She asked me. "Of course, when do you wanna leave?" "Like noon I guess," she answered. "Alright," I replied as I walked up the stairs heading to my room.

I wonder what Luke thinks of me.- 'No, no I don't.' But I do. 'I can't possibly feel something for a boy I just met.' Too late. "Ugh," I groaned as I laid down on my bed.

I heard the front door open and closed and I knew it was Shawn and Kyle. I went downstairs to greet them when I saw a pizza box in their hands. Me being me, I gasped, grabbed the pizza, ran to the kitchen and took four slices, put them on my plate and began eating. "Hungry?" Kyle joked.
It was currently 9 o'clock and I was in my room on my laptop. I decided I would go for a late night ride and grabbed my longboard. I was riding towards the beach when I saw a boy about my age. He was tall and had blonde hair, but I could see his face. When he was under the street light I recognized him as Luke and stopped when we passed each other.

"Hey," I smiled "Hey, what's up?" he asked. "Nothing, same as you, late night ride." I laughed. "Yeah" Luke laughed. "So where are you going?" Luke asked. "The beach," I answered. "Really, me too." We grabbed our boards and began to ride again.

When we arrived to the beach, we picked up our boards and began walking along shore. "So, Shawn and Kyle, they're your brothers right?" He questioned. "Yeah, why?" "Why do you live with them?" I hated when people asked me this. "My parents died when he was 9 and Shawn and Kyle were 20 so we went to live with them," I said hold back tears. "Em, I'm so sorry, I didn't know." "No, no, it's fine, don't worry." We walked along the shore for probably 40 more minutes before we started riding back to my house, because Luke insisted on dropping me off.

We walked up to the door together. "We should do this again," Luke spoke. "Yeah, definitely. Here let see your phone, I'll give you my number." I typed my number in and texted myself so I would have his number. "Goodnight Em," Luke smiled. "Goodnight Luke," I smiled back at him.
