So tomorrow's Christmas and my mom still isn't back from " finding my dad." She is rarely home and when she is, she is gone in a couple hours. Riley's calling me now because I declined her last call.
" Riles! What's sup?"
" I know since your mom is never home, want to come here for Christmas?"
" Sure. Do you want me to come now?"
" Yes! You can see Uncle Josh again, because he decided to come down a day earlier, so my dad went to go pick him up."
" Okay. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
" See you then!"
" Bye Riles."
~ Skipping subway ride ~
I'm so excited for Maya to come and meet Josh! She hasn't seen him in a while.
* Maya knocking on Riley's window *
" Thanks for coming Maya, I know you probably don't want to be here.."
" Riley, I love spending time with you and your family. I'm just a little upset because my mom hasn't came back yet. But don't think its because of you Riley. And besides, your family is kind of like my family."
" Maya, you know your like my dad's second daughter."
" I know and I love you and your family for including me in this loving place."
* Maya and Riley hug*
" Awe! Girl-mance!"
" Uncle Josh!"
I walk in and I go upstairs to try and find the bathroom when I hear Riley and I think her name is Mia, May, no that's not it.....
MAYA! That's it. Boy, she looks really gorgeous.
They are hugging so I pretend like I'm just popping in.
Josh: "Awe! Girl-mance."
Riley: " Uncle Josh! Maya come say hi!"
Maya: "Hey Josh. It's been a while."
Josh: Yeaa, well boy, you grew up gorgeous.
I see Maya blushing as I go and pick up Auggie.
