Without it they feel lost, like nothing. Will do ANYTHING to get it back. How to use this? You have the one thing a powerful dragon wants most, use him to do your dirty work! threaten to shatter it, promise to give it back to him if he does what you ask. *MATES; soulmate au? Lets talk iF NOT HERES MY SH*T POOR EXUSE on how it works dragons Their magic, his fire- doesn't affect their mate. PERFECT IF YOU WANT TO SLAY HIM without worrying about fire. And dragons are EXTREMELY hesitant to cause harm to said mate. It's an urge that cant be ignored. He will do whatever you please if you're his mate weather he liked to or not. Note that Just because you are his mate doesn't mean he will like you, he CAN and WILL absolutely despise your GUTS if you use him, but isn't that the fun part ? :)

Scenarios 1) OVERTHROWING THE KING the kingdom was going great! Not an uprising or protest insight. Weird seeing as the kingdom was in shambles just Ten years ago. How could a king so effortlessly rule a whole kingdom? Only you know why, he had an ace up his sleeve, or rather a dragon. Willing or not you were the person the king has assigned to take care of the captured dragon. Bringing it food, water and such. Building up this relationship for a solid three months before You came in a panic to his cell, the king had did you wrong/ or you didn't agree with how he was ruling (you have to have a reason in mind besides I want to) whatever he had done had been the last straw. He needed to be gone, and luckily for you you had the trust of a dragon on your side. "I need your help.." Hearing the desperation in your voice is what brought Oscars attention to you, he was still in his dragon form, muzzled and chained down. But his eyes where focused on you, wanting to hear what you had to offer.
2) DRAGON SLAYER (Must be devoted to the king in the beginning) make some angst 👀 Dragons force order and balance between races. What happens when one gets out of line? War, Dragons are unbiased guardians of the land and oh boy the king doesn't like that. You have been ordered to slay the dragon responsible of standing the kings way. How does one try to take on nothing more than a myth!? No one has seen a dragon in ages! (Mostly because everyone is scared of what would follow) tales of mast destruction in ancient history books seem nothing more than fairy tales to teach kids about being kind to each other. You can asks around for ages and no one would support you in taking on a dragon, that is until you come across a wondering adventure. Saying he knows ALL that their is to know about dragons. IT MIGHT BE I DUNNO NICE TO GET ALL THE INFO OUT OF HIM THAT YOU NEED. let him tag along to your little quest form a bond :) betray him i dunno just some ideas Do with this what you will, you cannot fight my oc off the bat, not how quest works
