Worth It (IidaBaku)

2 Bakugo's POV

I wake up in his bed and just snuggle into a pillow, tired and sore. "Tenya." I grumble, wanting him near. He pops his head through the door then smiles. Its too early for this. "Hey, Katsuki. I made you breakfast and coffee." He says and puts a plate of warm food and a cup of coffee on the nightstand. Oh my All Might, I should owe him my life. "Thank you." I mumble and move to sit up before grabbing the plate and starting to eat. "You keep eating and stay still, I'm going to take a look at this cut." He says and I hold up my plate more so he can lift my shirt. "I'm gonna clean and re-bandage it." He says and I groan softly but he probably knows best. He sits with his arm around my waist as I eat and drink and I lean against his chest comfortably. He runs his hand up amd down my side and I find myself liking it. I finish my food and coffee but just put the dishes aside and lay against his chest. He carefully runs his hand from my head to my waist, almost like he's petting a cat. I relax for once and let him. It only took those few moments to pick me up in that alley, but I feel like I can trust him now. He's shown me his more human side and taken care of me when half the class probably would've beaten me more. I yawn softly and he smiles. "Katsuki, I gotta change the bandages on that cut." He says and I grumble and frown. He laughs and pulls me to raise up. I cross my arms but sit up. He lifts my shirt to start taking off the former bandage and I just pull my (his?) shirt off to make it easier for both of us.

He cleans it then wraps a new bandage as I stay still. "Thanks, good job." He says and I can't help but smile. He's so pretty with his glasses off and truly smiling. Did I do that? I should try and make him smile more often. Oh All Might, I've gone soft. "Kat, you okay?" He says and I'm snapped out of my thoughts. "Yeah, sorry. Just thinking and shit." I mutter and put the shirt back on. "What were you thinking about?" He asks curiously and I shake my head. "Don't worry about it." I say with a huff and he rolls his eyes. "Yeah sure. I'll wash dishes then grab a movie. You should stay in bed as much as possible so you'll be rested up for Monday." He says as I sit back against his pillows. "Ugh, fine. You better fucking stay here with me so I won't be bored." I snap and he laughs but nods. He goes to wash the dishes and I relax fully. I turn onto my side for comfort and cuddle into the pillows tiredly. Not everything is blue but it all fits together in a comfy sort of way.

I allow myself to relax fully and find his smell comforting. I sigh softly and let my mind drift. I feel a hand on my side and tense up then hear him say, "Hey, it's okay. It's just Tenya." I let myself relax again as he runs his hand along my side gently. He slides his hand up to my face and brushes the hair from my eyes. "You should be good enough to train by tomorrow if you take it easy today. Give me a moment and I'll turn on a movie. Any suggestions?" Tenya asks and I shrug. I kind of want to watch a cartoon but no way am I telling him that. I turn slightly so I can see the TV as the movie starts and feel the bed dip as he sits beside me. It's Big Hero 6, holy fuck he's psychic. "Tell anyone about this and you're dead." I threaten but my voice sounds tired and worn even to me. "I wouldn't dream of it. This stays here, Katsuki. Relax." He says and I nod. We occasionally throw jokes back and forth about the movie as it goes on and he hesitantly lifts my head and adjusts to where my head is on his lap. I decidedly don't mind and snuggle into his lap. He plays with my hair and I allow it. I can tell he isn't focused on the movie but I don't question it. So he's mentally healing as well as physical. He's like a fresh breath of air as a person. "Kat...?" He asks and I look away from the movie, up at him. "What happened in the alley, if you'll tell me?" He asks and I tense up. "I don't wanna talk about it." I say defensively and he nods. "That's okay, don't worry about it." He says and I blink in surprise. I'm so used to the Old Hag prying and making me tell her things only to get shamed for being weak. He smiles softly and pets my hair, reassuring me its okay. I let my head fall onto his lap softly and he keeps playing with my hair. It makes me sleepy but I manage to stay awake. "Go on to sleep, Kat. I've got you." He says softly and I feel my heart skip a beat. He makes it so easy to relax. Those few words have me allowing my eyes to close and for me to drift asleep.
