In a creek
Far away
Rose two children
From its bay
Will they cry?
Will they laugh?
Or will they say
Their last good-bye?
The two boys pulled themselves to the banks of the creek and laid there to regain some strengh. The elder one, who wore something that resembled a gnome's clothing, stood up and examined his surroundings. A strong mist surrounded him and impeded him from noting his surroundings, but all he knew was that he was certainly not back home. A deep foliage surrounded him and the sky was darkened like ink with spots of white cream sprinkled in the ink. He walked a few steps back to see his reflection in the dark creek. His face was flushed, his hair poked out of his crimson hat and he was drenched in the cold water he has come out of. He shivered as the wind pressed against him and he wrapped his arms around him to press on. He reached a fork on the road and looked back, remembering he had left behind something important.
"Gregory...He's still back in the creek. But he ruined my life! Why should I care about the one that made my life crumble down?!"
He muttered under his breath as he held onto his hat because the wind blew stronger and he walked toward one of the trails in the fork. Before he walked another step, he heard the loud stomp of running feet and a familiar voice shouting after him.
"Wait! Wirt, wait up! I had to look for my frog..I mean, our frog! Right, Wirt?"
The elder boy turned around to his little brother running towards him and clasping a mucky frog in his hand. The boy, whose name was told to be Wirt, sighed and waited for the little boy to catch up to him. Gregory, the little boy, smiled and stopped for a moment to catch his breath. His brother watches over him as he lifted his head up and started to walk again. The little boy was quite cheerful and ignorant, while the other filled his minds of worries and the knowledge of being hopelessly lost.
Lost
In their own endeavors
And the feeling of not
Being able to beat the boss.
But who is the boss?
Sometime she can hide
Deep beneath
The twine
Of our souls.
A young bluebird watched as the pair walked deeper into the forest, and smiled. There was still hope.
A/N: In case you're wondering what in the blazes is happening with the story, the first few chapters are meant to kind of build up some characters and other stuff like that. After these chapters you'll be able to figure out where it's going. Maybe..Just kidding. I'm confusing, okay?
