Chapter 24

* Kate's P.O.V *

After training , I was laying in bed in Kol's arms . I sighed .

" Are you worried about tomarrow ? " he asked me in between kissing my neck . 

I stretched my neck up farther for him to kiss . 

" A little . " I admitted .

I wouldn't tell him I was more worried about him then myself . Kol rolled his eyes and pinned me underneath of his body , kissing up and down my neck again to my jaw line . 

" Your lack of confidence in me is demeaning darling . " he whispered . 

I flipped over so that I was stradeling him . 

" I never said I had lack of confidence in you . " I whispered , stroking his cheek as I ran my hands down his bare chest .

" Your kiss gave it away . " he replied looking up at the ceiling . 

" I just don't want to take any chances . " I replied , rolling off of him . 

He sighed . 

" Well the only one I need to be looking out for out there is you. " he replied .

I rolled my eyes .

" Are you forgetting who I am ? " I asked , putting a hand on my hip .  

 Kol groaned and sat up , looking over at me . 

" Of course not darling. You're a huntress . Besides my father , you're possibly the most deadly hunter the world has ever seen . " he said looking at me in admiration . 

" Exactly . " I replied , looking over at him . 

" You don't need to worry . " I repeated .

He grabbed my hand gently and kissed up my arm .

" I love you . " he said in between kissing my arm .  

I sighed . 

" Mmmhmm . That's what I'm worried about . " I whispered , pushing my lips to his .

" I have something I want to ask you , my darling . " he said pausing .

I looked up at him .

" Alright . Shoot . " I replied , looking him over .

" I'm being serious , Kate ! " he groaned, sitting up again as he looked over at me in my night gown .

" So am I . " I replied , cocking an eyebrow .

He sighed .

" Kate , I love you . I want you . I want you so bad . I want you to be mine and mine alone . Kaitlyn Mason will you ----- " he started , but I cut him off .

" Are you asking me to marry you ?! " I demaned .

He rolled his eyes .

" One day , possibly , but for now , I was just going to settle for a promise ring . " he said shaking his head with a chuckle .

" Really ? " I asked .

He nodded .

" No , I just said all of that to make myself feel better . Of course ! " he said sarcastically .

I showed him in kisses as he slid the ruby ring onto my finger .

" Today is just the first day of the rest of our lives ." he whispered in my ear .

" It's night darling . " I smirked .
