"Sir Forth, the new clients wish to meet this afternoon. As per your instruction, I already accepted their request and you are set to meet them at 2 PM."

Forth nodded and thanked his secretary before letting her go. She did tell him that he has nothing on his schedule except that remaining 2 PM appointment. He can take a break but it would be better for him to finish all the things he needs to do.

For the months that passed, he did nothing but to drown himself with work that they are actually ahead of their schedules. He was so productive that everything in his own company is going smoothly. He even had the time to coordinate with many architects to create new designs that they can incorporate with their future projects.

His miserable life is making him all productive and yet he couldn't even appreciate it. He needs more distractions if he's going to be honest with himself.

It's been eleven months to be exact and yet...

"I called your secretary to actually clear your schedule for you to rest but you can't just cooperate!"

He smiles upon seeing Pete enter his office with that ever-nagging voice again. "Try to scold me a little slower and you'll really sound like my mother." He stood up to kiss him on the cheek. "I thought you had a shoot today? It's done already?"

They sat down and he asked his secretary over the intercom for some tea. "No, it isn't but I was done for my part. They had a little problem with the other model so some of us were excused and allowed to leave earlier. How about you? It's becoming more useless to ask your secretary to clear your schedules."

"You really shouldn't waste your time worrying about me, you know. I can manage and it would be better if you stop asking my secretary to clear my schedules like this." Their tea came and he thanked his secretary again. "What am I supposed to do for three hours?"

"You could leave this office for a while and ask me for lunch." Pete takes a sip on his tea. "By the way, I like your casual get up today, I really prefer this over your suit and tie."

He grins. "Do you want to have lunch with me then?"

The younger Alpha rolls his eyes. "You're hopeless."

Eleven months have passed and if someone would have said that it is this easy talking to his "fiancé" like this, he wouldn't believe it. He didn't even expect anything as close to this but he's glad that it all turned out like this. This is better compared to not communicating at all.

He was angry at everything and at everyone when they first met. Of course, all of that anger was poured into Pete that when he received a slap from him—it helped him calm the fuck down. Afterall, Pete didn't do anything wrong and perfectly deserves his respect. He was really an asshole but to his surprise, Pete is a bigger asshole than him and handled him effortlessly.

Behind the sweet and angel-like façade Pete has, he really is a strong and independent person. He admires him that he didn't need to hide that from him.

"Our wedding is in two months' time and we really have to make up with the months we're not even seen together. You can imagine how my grandfather along with my parents have been nagging the hell out of me."

He was already thinking about ways to postpone the wedding. That was his initial plan even in the first place for various reasons. One is that he isn't really ready to get married and... he shakes his head; he shouldn't think about that now.

After all the excuses he has in his mind to postpone everything, Pete himself is the biggest reason why everything was postponed in the first place.

"Then we really should dine out for lunch."

"Okay, even if it's my idea in the first place." Pete's phone suddenly rings and excused himself to answer it.

Like how shitty their arrangement is, it was given that he doesn't know anything about Pete at first. He only saw him once and that's it. They were set to marry even without any knowledge about each other. He just knew everything about Pete from Pete himself.

Pete is a model. He also has cameos to various movies and TV series but he focuses more on modelling and advertisement. He was based in New York but was forced to move back here in Thailand just because of their arrangement. Due to his prior contracts, they really couldn't marry as early as to what their families wanted. Pete insisted that he will finish everything clean before finally settling down—he didn't want to taint his name within the industry.

Being friends with his fiancé was something he didn't expect but he's thankful for this kind of relationship. He had someone to talk to.

Phana and Wayo moved to the Philippines for the time being. The Fated couple are already planning for their first child and they want to go on a honeymoon trip again for that.

Ming is still working with him here in his company; but the engineer and his doctor boyfriend Kit are also out of the country. For what reason? The last time he heard was that Kit wanted to run away from his own family.

Everyone who's close to him and who can relay to are not here.

"Change of plans, can we just have dinner later? They need me."

He smiles and nods. "Call me, I'll pick you up."

"Is Forth going to pick you up?"

Pete looks at his co-model Type. "Is Tharn going to pick you up?"

The Omega model laughs and nods. "You should really stop with the hate of my kind. Omegas are not a threat to you—only when you let them be."

He sighs. It's not that he hates Type, he is his friend after all; he just couldn't really stop being an ass. "Forth's first love is an Omega. You can't blame me."

Type chuckles. "It's not like you love the engineer."

For the months that have passed, he can swear to any higher being that he did try his best to love Forth romantically. He did his best but he can simply just conclude that you can't force love. Love is indeed a shitty thing—he hates it more than Omegas. He couldn't love Forth the way he would've preferred to but at least they created friendship.

Unlike Forth that didn't know anything about him, he knew every little detail that he had to know about the Alpha. Their families were bound to merge and it's been a long time coming that they make it official by marrying them off together. He knew that Forth's grandfather still insisted on making Forth go to blind dates—he was told that it was to satisfy the Alpha's bachelor life as early as possible so he would be loyal to him. He knew everything... even his relationship with Doctor Beam.

Nothing's going to stop him from his plans because he will let no one ruin this for him. His life is already ruined as it is—this is something he can't afford to fail.

"Love is something trivial. A couple can work out without it." He said, even tasting the bitterness of his own words.

A car stopped in front of them and it was Type's husband Tharn.

Before his co-model finally leaves, he bids him goodbye. "Love is not just something trivial and you know that yourself. By the way, Doctor Tin successfully opened his clinic."

He was left clenching his fists that his nails dug into his palms.

The image of Beam with his own first love—Tin—flashes in his mind.

Yeah, love is fucking trivial.

Fuck.
