he wrapped the red string on his wrist as he sat on his bed. checking everything to make sure he had not forget something, he left his apartment and headed out to the train station.

the station was cluttered with people. the noise of a busy city filled the air. haku stopped in his tracks out of a sudden.

"what the... what are you doing here?" he asked. howl grinned at him while san crossed her arms on her chest, yet she gave a small smile at the guy.

haku gave her a genuine confused expression. "ashitaka and howl told me and here i am." she replied blankly.

"howl, i asked you to cover for me at home and at work." haku cupped his palm near his mouth and whispered to the blond. the tall man hummed in response, "ashitaka will cover your shift."

howl's smartphone played a short video of ashitaka smiling at the camera. the brunet gave him a thumbs up, "leave it to me, haku. but take care of san, alright?"

haku scoffed, "this isn't funny." howl turned off his phone and shoved into his pocket. "we were worried about you."

"huh?"
"you can't go alone. what if it's a con act?"
