Alexa woke up half slumped on Simons bed. She blinked away the blurriness and tried to make out where she was.

"How am I supposed to know?" She vaguely heard next to her.

"I don't know, did she faint from exhaustion or?" She heard the other voice, which she thought was Ed's.

"I have no clue!? She ate all that Spanish food and was fine downstairs.

"Hey hey hey she's waking up!" The loud voice said. That voice could only belong to Alex who was known for being way too loud.

She rubbed her eyes trying to make out the scene in front of her. On her right hand side Ed, Alex and Axl were standing up with confusion and concern painted all over their faces.

Simon and Josh sat next to her, trying to study her face. It was only when she felt something, or someone stroking the top of her head. She vehemently flinched until she saw who it was.

"Daddy?" She barely whispered. He gently put his hand on hers which made her stop shaking with anxiety. His face broke into a weak smile.

"Alexa" he finally said, staring into her eyes. "Is this my little girl all grown up?" He asked, gently pushing her hair out of her blue eyes. "God, your a spitting image of your mother"

Alexa smiled at her dads face. His bright blue eyes and slightly messy brown hair. This was the dad she knew.

Not the violent one who ordered her around, not the one who he used as a punching bag. The one who would bake cookies with her for her bake sale, or the one who would take her to all of her singing lessons or the one who used to tickles her and her mummy just to see them both laugh. She got broken out of her trance when her dad called her name again.

"You need to move on sweetheart" he said, firmly but softly.

"W-w-what?"

"I wouldn't be a proper dad if I didn't want the best for you. I'm getting better, but for now you need to live with your new brothers." Alexa looked at him skeptically before they broke into a hug. She watched her dad get up and leave the room while she sat there in awe of what had just happened.

Ed's POV
My brothers and I looked at each other in confusion as we watched Alexa mumbling incoherent words to herself.

Was she hallucinating?

Simon had only come up to her room to tell her goodnight before she collapsed into his arms. He wracked his brains trying to think of a solution. None of them had ever gone through anything like this in the past.

He looked at Alexa in pity while she muttered more gibberish into thin air. He watched her as she stared at the door expectantly before hanging her head in despair.

"Alexa"
"Alexa"
"Alexa"
"ALEXA" Ed finally yelled which got her attention.
They all looked at her, there eyes almost filled with tears when the saw the ghostly look on her face.
Alexa turned slowly and looked at them, her eyes trying to adjust.

"Are you alright?" They all asked skeptically. Alexa looked at the door once again as all the colour drained from her face. But she shook her head slowly .

"No"

"Well how about, just for tonight, you can sleep in Simons bed" Ed said, still unsure whether she was tuned in or not. She looked around Simons room with a slight fear, but she reluctantly nodded. The bed was quite high so Simon was about to lift her up but she violently flinched back, which left Simon holding his arms up in surrender.

"NO" she said hitting his hand away.

"Alright alright" he said, reassuring her. Alexa slowly got up onto the bed herself while everybody else left the room.

She covered herself in Simons warm duvet and couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort. The weak smell of Simons cologne made her feel protected. Simon carefully lifted his arm around Alexa's tiny figure and to his surprise, she didn't flinch. He pulled her in for a hug while they both slept.
