Gabriel's POV
"The ABBA tribute band?" Oliver read over Gabriel's shoulder.
Gabriel hastily locked his phone, "Congratulations, Oliver, you can read."
"It was a question, you dickwad. The 'why the hell are you one click away from ordering two tickets' was silent."
Why the hell was he one click away from ordering two tickets you ask? Because Theodore had mentioned ABBA. Once.
One time. Une fois. Einmal.
And he may or may not have been joking when he mentioned he listened to them (unironically).
Gabriel wondered how thin the line was between being a hopeless romantic and simply being hopeless, and if he'd already crossed it. Maybe he had been one literal click away.
He would have gone and ordered had Oliver not interrupted him.
That reminded him that he hadn't answered: "Because I really hate ABBA, Oliver."
"Ugh," uttered Oliver in frustration, dramatically casting his eyes to the ceiling, "At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite: why is everybody in this household so freaking sarcastic?"
Gabriel chuckled softly, "It's genetic."
"No offence, but you're like, adopted."
Unofficially. He reminded himself when sometimes, his feelings for Theodore weirded him out a little.
He loved each member of the Ward household, considered them family, but Theodore held a special place in his heart. Each vacation spend here, he'd nestled himself a little deeper.
Maybe he shouldn't return for the holidays.
But not to run ahead of things, there were still 3 weeks of summervacation to get through.
