ever since the sleeping curse was put on his children, like every parent, Aegamar Laurezac did everything in his power to get freed of it. or at least, find some sort of loophole- something he was strongly determined to discover. there had to be something - someone - that could help. the curse could not be the end of his legacy, his empire- he refused to believe that. after all, no one was perfect, then how could magic be?

his two queens, Lilliana and Petronella, were devastated as expected. the entire kingdom was left in shock. and no matter how much Aegamar tried to keep the truth locked inside the safe walls of the castle, he could not. in no time, words about the royal family being cursed reached from one part of the kingdom to the other, like a forest fire. and a few days later no one could tell where the head was and where the tail. though, due to the lack of approval from the royals themselves, as time passed, the truth turned into stories, stories into rumours, and rest is history.

in the last of his days, Aegamar did find a loophole. while all the wise men failed the king, it was the wits of his third and the youngest wife, Persephone- a woman who was as clever as she was beautiful. the Laurezac family will continue to rule the kingdom in the coming futures, she made sure of that.

now, four centuries later, the Laurezac family still rules the kingdom of Iladour- the beautiful nation, known for its exceptional beauty, developed provinces and of course, the infamous mysteries linked to the royal family. the fact, the castle had been closed ever since the demise of the king, Aegamar Laurezac, no one had actually seen the royal family, leaving the maids, guards and other officials who had been recruited over the years, an exception.

some people believe the castle is haunted, they have their reasons and experiences to affirm why they would say such a bizarre thing. and then there are some, who see no reason to believe in witchcraft and prophecies, or the stories of ghosts ruling over their lively kingdom. but no one could say for sure, sadly.

but that was about to change. with the arrival of the new announcement from the ruling Laurezac family, a new wave of concern had the hit the people of Iladour. a selection is being organised, girls and boys between the age of 20 and 30 are invited to take part in the grand occasion. now the question, would this be an opportunity to become a royal or just another bait for the beginning of a new story?
