I decided to stay awake the rest of the night, in case Thomas came back. I waited, but he never came back. It stunk, I had a whole lot of questions that needed to be answered now. The sun was coming up When I heard a loud noise...it sounded familiar...The Box. I ran over to the Box, a bunch of other Gladers were coming over too. I stood over it, I couldn't hear any screaming coming from the box.

Drew and Anna opened the box, Ella hopped in, no one said anything.

"What's down there Ella? A boy?" I asked, she did tell me it alternates.
She stared up at us, with a look of horror and confusion...was it hideous or something?
"It's a girl, how can it be a girl?!" She asked staring at me,
"What do I look like? A health teacher?!" A couple snickered but Ella shushed them, I looked down into the box, I couldn't see much, all I could tell was that she had bright blonde Hair. She wasn't waking up, strange. I jumped into the box, nearly broke my ankle.

"What's wrong with her?" I said slightly kicking the girl, seeing if she would budge. Ella shrugged,
"Maybe her coma is just lasting longer, now come on, since your down here help me get her up." Me, Drew, and Ella lifted her up. I threw one arm over my shoulder and Ella grabbed the other one, and Drew grabbed her legs. We practically threw her out of the box, and dropped her on the ground. I felt kinda bad we were tossing her around everywhere, she was gonna have 50 bruises if this continued. Rosie and the other Med-Jacks picked her up and took her to the medical building. I jumped when I felt something on my shoulder,

"Hey, have you forgotten? We're going into the maze tonight?" I had almost forgotten...Almost.

"Oh right. Um don't we have to do training or something?" She shook her head.

"No time, we have to get moving, if we want to have time to observe the maze not just run from Shuck Grievers." I understood, but it was kinda scary going into the Maze with no training...At night...which no one has survived! But this is what I asked for. I gotta own it.

After we got some water, a weapon, I got a sword type thing...I think it was called a machete? Anna got the same thing, but smaller. She put some sort of best on me, and gave me running tennis shoes. They were much more comfortable than the other ones. We were ready...we walked up to the giant opening in the walls, I realized we haven't told anyone about our plan to stay out at night, they're gonna panick. I patted Anna's arm,

"Shouldn't we tell Ella or someone that were staying out there." She shook her head slightly, almost unnoticeable.
"No, she won't let us. She won't believe you." I don't know why anyone wouldn't believe me...what did I ever do to them? Me and Anna took a deep breath,

"Let's do this." I mumbled, and I took a few steps slowly into the maze, then I took off, Running.
