He will already hate you. I screamed at myself mentally. My mind was completely distracted on screaming and putting myself down, so I didn't realize that we were back on Oak Harbor. We tied the boat up and then Kayla laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked. She looked at me and laughed some more.

"What?!" I yelled. Well great, I suddenly knew that it was very hard for me to control my emotions...woo hoo.

"Chill out chick." Kayla said, still laughing. I took a deep, calming breath and centered myself on her and her laughter. At least she was happy...or amused I should say. It was better than being dull and sad...like me.

"Your hair is a mess. That's why I'm laughing. I know I look funny to, but your hair...it's just so...funny!" She laughed harder. I looked at myself in the reflection of the water. I did look funny. I grinned, and I was soon laughed along with my best friend like nothing was wrong and we were just messing around like the old times.

I ran my fingers through my tangled hair and I grabbed one of my hair ties out of my suit case. I put my hair and sighed. This wasn't going to be fun.

"You look really pretty with your hair up." Kayla said. Her expression was weird.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing silly, I just can't believe how pretty you are. It makes me wonder how you would look with your hair up while you were still human. You never wore your hair up in front of me." She said giving me a cheery smile.

"Well...we better find Lawrence's place. I need to get all this drama behind me so I can think of other things...normal teenage things." I said grabbing my two huge bags. They were pretty light...or at least to me.

"That's impossible." Kayla said following after me. I turned around and looked at her. She saw the confusion on my face.

"You are a vampire now...nothing will ever be normal for you again. You can try to fool your self...and it may work for a while...but you will never be normal again." She said. She suddenly sounded very old. What have I gotten myself into?

"Well that's just so...so...messed up! I mean...that really pisses me off! I want to be normal! I want to worry about my weight, and how people will judge me, and how cute some guys are! I want to grow up and live my dreams! God, what have I done?!" I screamed. Kayla flinched and stepped away from me.

"What?! Now I'm some monster to you to?!" I yelled at her. She did look scared.

"Your eyes..." She whispered.

"What about them?" I said trying to calm my self down.

"They are black. You need to calm down...and you need to hunt some animals. You're going to get thirsty soon and I don't want you killing anyone." She said putting her things down.

"Well I hope you have a great plan to calm me down, because I'm too pissed off to do any thing! And I don't want to hunt, I'm not hungry!" I shouted at her. She flinched again and this time she looked mad.

"Don't yell at me! I want to help you! I left my love on that island for you Lizzy. You are scaring me. I've never felt so much strength in a vampire like you. So you need to calm down before someone gets hurt...that someone probably being me." Kayla looked me in the eye and I tried and tried to calm down, and just as I was finally calming down the smell hit me.

It was so strong, so....delicious. It was the most amazing smell in the world! I looked over my shoulder to see a hobo walking behind me. He looked gross, but he smelled excellent. My instincts took over and I ran and grabbed him. My teeth found his throat and they sunk into him. His struggles were no match for my new strength. I barley noticed him thrashing around in my arms. His blood was an explosion of bitter sweetness. It was amazing. I grip got harder around him. I felt my strength get better. My senses were getting sharper.
