"All that anger really is only for me...," you mumbled, resting your head between your knees.

Jasper's POV

I threw my duffel bag onto the floor in the room, sitting on the edge of my bed. I put my head in my hands as I sighed, closing my eyes. I still couldn't believe she had been lying to me the entire time. I didn't want to believe it. It was hard being mad at her, and so far, I hated every moment. She deserves it... I groaned, flopping back on the bed. Does she really, though? She was just trying to protect her friends—and me too. "But she still lied to me. And that isn't something I can just forgive so easily..."

"Jasper?" I looked towards the door, seeing Millie walk in with Storm in front of her. I smiled softly, sitting up again. The little girl ran up to me after closing the door standing between my knees. I brushed my thumb over her cheek, earning a giggle from her. "Are you okay? You and (y/n) haven't been talking...did I do something wrong," she asked, looking up at me with her big (e/c) eyes. I picked her up, sitting her on my lap.

"No baby, you didn't do anything wrong."

"Grown up stuff?" I chuckled, tickling her. Millie's cute laughter filled the room as she grabbed ahold of my fingers, gently pushing me away.

        "Yeah. Grown up stuff."

"So when are you going to talk again? I don't like it when you guys don't talk...it makes me feel sad."

"Me too," I said softly, kissing the toddler's forehead. "But I don't know when we'll talk again, Millie." Whenever I feel like I can trust her again, I guess, I thought, sighing.

"I hope it's soon! Your gemmy is darker when you're upset," she said, bouncing in my lap before touching my gem. I laughed, laying back on the bed and pulling her with me.

"Oh, really? I didn't know that."

"That's because Millie is smart," she said, smiling widely at me.

"Yes, she is," I said, ruffling her hair with a chuckle. Storm then jumped onto the bed beside me, meowing as she rubbed against my arm. I scratched behind her ears, listening to the sound of her purring until someone knocked on the bedroom door. I stood up, setting Millie down by Storm as I went to answer it. I pulled the slab of wood open, leaning against the doorframe as I looked down at Kehlani. I was about to ask her what she wanted when I caught sight of (y/n) at the bottom of the stairs, peeking around the corner of the wall. I narrowed my eyes, pulling Kehlani into the room before closing the door again. "What do you want," I asked, my tone harsher than I expected it to be.

"I-I'm just up here to collect the rest of my things to pack up. And...also to apologize." I raised an eyebrow, folding my arms as I leaned against the door.

        "Apologize for what?"

"I—did something unforgivable. I let my jealously control my actions which led to me putting something in your drink last night. It was supposed to make you drowsy to the point of hallucinations and I was going to use that to my advantage. I'm sorry...and I know that that isn't going to fix what I did but I just wanted to let you know. I lied to you about being jealous and on top of that, I could have seriously hurt you." So that's why (y/n) took the drink away from me...she was so upset to the point of tears. She really does care about me, I thought, blushing slightly.
