3:46 AM, November 27th. Two days after Finale Pt. 2.
Error hadn't survived the battle. Ink knew that but didn't believe it, even as he clutched Error's scarf close to his chest and Error's jacket closer to his body for warmth and that smell of the glitch that was starting to fade. He also didn't believe that he was laying in one of the large fluffy beds in Nightmare's Mansion, not as a prisoner, but as an ally. Nightmare had remained passive, since the death of his brother, and had taken to becoming a caretaker of Ink, at least, while Ink was still pregnant. Killer was happy about the passive mode, as Nightmare was now a lot nicer, cuter, and actually started to notice him. The rainbow skeleton looked at the clock on the wall. It was past three in the morning and he was getting hungry.
He didn't want to get up, feeling tired and like he ached all over, despite being perfectly fine. But he did anyway, standing and leaving the scarf on the bed, though the jacket stayed with him. Then, he headed downstairs, his bare feet completely silent on the floorboards that would creak under the others, but they were bigger than him, so they were going to. Ink hadn't put on a shirt at all that day, seeing as he was mostly under the covers and hadn't left his room, but he couldn't care less who saw him with Error gone. Once he got to the kitchen, he started searching for something to eat. The small skeleton completely froze when he heard someone else approaching the kitchen. A purple skeleton, Nightmare, entered and he calmed down.
His caretaker was really the only one who knew about his late-night hunts for food, seeing as Ink either didn't sleep within a two-day span or slept all day. He didn't bother him about it and Ink knew he was there to supervise Ink, to make sure he didn't hurt himself. The two were silent as Ink found what he wanted and hopped up, sitting on the counter to eat it. Nightmare eventually broke the silence.
"What are you thinking of naming it?"
"The child?"
"Ya. It needs a name."
"I'm... I'm thinking of String Art."
Nightmare subtly nodded, "That sounds like a good name. Now, why don't you hurry up so we can get you on a somewhat normal sleep schedule?"
Ink nodded, "That sounds like a good idea."
