Astrid screamed at the top of her lungs as she pushed as hard as she could trying to get the baby out of her body, she stopped screaming and her head flopped back onto the pillow as she gasped for breath

Her forehead was sweaty and her face was bright red "good girl Astrid, you're doing fantastic" Valka said stroking her hair softly and smiling, a single tear escaped her eye and she was breathing very sharply "V-Valka" Astrid wheezed "What is it dear?" she asked "I-I want Hiccup h-here with m-me" she said

Outside Hiccup was mentally punching himself every time he heard Astrid scream, hearing that and not being able to do something to help was agonising, then the door creaked open and Valka peered out looking at Hiccup and said "you're wanted" Hiccup jumped up as he went inside with Valka

He knelt down beside Astrid and held her and smiling at her "I'm not going anywhere" he said as he kissed her forehead "Hiccup....I-I'm scared" she said softly, Hiccup stroked her cheek and chuckled "I know, it'll be over soon I promise" Hiccup then looked to Valka who had her hand on Astrid's abdomen "okay Astrid you're doing fantastic, now for this one I need you to give it all you've got and push for as long as you can okay" she said

Astrid nodded nervously and steadied her breathing then with a huge scream that slightly disoriented Toothless and Stormfly for a second, she stopped screaming and her head fell back on the pillow and she panted heavily "Astrid this is it, one more push and you'll have a family" Valka said excitedly

"Hiccup I can't do it, I can't do it" Astrid sobbed with a tear falling down her cheek, Hiccup wiped away the tear and smiled at her "yes you can you're FEARLESS Astrid Hofferson, if you can be crazy enough to jump in front of Toothless to save me then you can have this baby" he said and kissed her forehead

She smiled and nodded "one more Astrid, one more and you have your baby" Valka said, this was it, Astrid took a deal breath and with what strength she had left she pushed as hard as she could screaming at the top of her lungs and gripped Hiccup's hand with brute force

She fell back on the bed and everything was silent and then a high pitch cry echoed through the air "it's a girl" Valka said as she handed Astrid the little bundle, Astrid looked at her daughter and beamed from ear to ear "she's beautiful" Hiccup said

"Ill give you two some time with your new daughter" Valka said as she stood up "hey mum" Hiccup said "yes Hiccup" she replied "Thank you, for everything...I don't know what is do without you" he said, Valka smile and nodded then she walked out leaving the new family alone

"So what should we call her?" Hiccup said "Hmmm....how about"
