•Chapter 2•

"I'll have to ask you to care about yourselves more in this one. This is going to be difficult."

Everyone tensed when this sentence left my now dry mouth.
"What the fuck are you talking about? We're known to be cooperative and protective over each other. We can't just act selfishly." Luke said.
"Boy if you don't shut up right now." Maria said.
"I'm just stating a fact". Luke said.
"You're just talking bullshit. Nancy said that because she wants us to be safe and it's probably part of the plan. So if you're not willing to comply with it then you're out." Maria said, her blood boiling and her hands tightly gripping her chair. I think that it's unnecessary to mention that Luke and Maria do not like each other that much. There's tension between them all.the.fucking.time. And not the good kind of one.
"GUYS CAN YOU STOP FIGHTING FOR ONCE? WE ARE A FUCKING TEAM YOU CANNOT BE QUARRELING ALL THE TIME! APOLOGIZE TO EACH OTHER. RIGHT NOW!" Kwnna said. She's the mum of the group, and she's basically experienced with handling these kind of situations. She used to be a babysitter and these two surely do act like fucking toddlers.
"But—" both Luke and Maria started but got cut off by Kwnna.
"NO BUTS! I SAID RIGHT NOW YOU IMMATURE DEAD CELLS".
<Oh she's mad. Real mad.> I thought.
"Tsk. Fine. Look, Maria I'm sorry. I just care about my teammates too much to just leave them behind and protect my self." Luke explained.
"And I'm sorry for overreacting. I just don't like it when people do not go along with the plan." Maria said.
"See? Isn't that better? So, Nancy. The plan?"Kwnna said.
They all turned to look at me. I audibly gulped. I felt dizzy. I had to calm my self down.
"Right. The plan..um okay" I nervously said. My palms were sweaty.
"Wait, what's wrong?" Matina asked. She looked confused. Her eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, is everything okay?" Jane questioned. She's not that expressive but if you looked closely, you would see the confusion written all over her face.
Everyone was now staring at me intensely.
"The plan. It's too risky. We could get killed. Easily. Too easily." I said, my voice trembling. I was scared. Scared enough to feel like I was going to throw up.
"But we're a team we got this. Right guys?" Matina said.
"Yeah we're potent". The rest of my teammates agreed. I huffed. Didn't I just say that it's too risky? God dammit no one ever listens to me. If only they knew what kind of danger we're putting our lives in.
"You don't understand. If one of us gets killed, then it's over for the rest. They'll get us and kill us in the most brutal way possible". I said, not even wanting to think about one of us getting killed. The team could be ruined. It would suffer.
The room fell silent. But again, you could hear everyone's heartbeat. And now I knew that i wasn't the only one who was feeling fearful.
"So will you explain the plan to us?" Mary said.
I let out a heavy sigh. "Yes. Yes, I will."
They all seemed nervous to know what they'll have to do. Some of them seemed kind of eager too.
"That man. That disgusting human being, CEO Bruce, is having a party next week. He's having a party in one of New York's biggest skyscrapers. His company's party is going to take place in the «Red Guns» skyscraper." I said.
"It's practically impossible to get into that place without being a rich and selfish CEO or without being a relative or anything like that of a CEO of a big ass profitable company." Mary said.
"I know. But here is where the actual plan starts. We'll have to disguise ourselves as rich business men and women. Half of us will do that—" I started explaining when someone interrupted me.
"That's easy! We'll just buy fancy clothes and then—" Maria said but I cut her off.
"COULD YOU BE NICE ENOUGH TO LET ME FINISH TALKING? THANK YOU" I said in a maddening way.
Everyone's eyes widened. They have never seen me become that furious. But I didn't care. I was feeling petrified and anxious as hell.
"Now, where was I? Oh right! So, the risky part is that some of us will have to trick the body guards into believing that we're relatives of him and then inject poison in them so that the rest of us will get in." I said.
"Whoa whoa WHOA. Wait a god damn minute. That's not simple at all. What if someone sees the guards basically dropping dead. We'll be officially killed."
Matina said.
"I strongly agree with her. That's too much of a dangerous thing to do." Kwnna stated.
"We'll have to contact a pretty interesting guy". I said.
The rest of my teammates looked at me puzzled.
"We'll contact Alex. Alex Miller." I said.
"WAIT WHAT? THE BASKETBALL PLAYER?" Luke excitedly asked, his eyes glittering.
"No, you god damn idiot. She's talking about CEO's Bruce, ex-employee. He used to work for him years ago. But when he found out that he's such a horrible human being he quit his job and left. He's been hiding from him ever since." Jane explained. I really can't express how grateful I am for having someone who's intelligent in this team. Thank fucking God.
"Right. Basically, one of the adults told me that we'll have to contact him and try to convince him to help us." I said.
"But what if he doesn't? I mean you, yourself said that he's being hiding from this motherfucker Bruce ever since he quit his job." Said Kwnna.
"Don't worry. He wants to get revenge from him. We want to kill him. I think that we'll come to an agreement." I expressed my opinion.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's fucking kill this bastard." Anna said.
And now the plan begins getting carried out.
